Chapter 85 

Vivian quickly stepped back, dodging his outstretched hand. 

Eric missed and got even more annoyed.

“Vivian, if I find out you’ve lied to me,” he warned, his voice low and dangerous. “You know exactly what will happen.” 

“How could I possibly lie about something like this? Of course, I want to be with Shepard. But he just won’t give me the chance,” Vivian shot back. 

“I told you already,” Eric started. 

Vivian interrupted him. “You don’t even know how much restraint Shepard has.” 

Eric didn’t say a word, just stared at Vivian. His gaze shifted slowly from confusion to a teasing, almost provocative look. 

After a long pause, he finally spoke, his voice low and dangerous. “Whether he’s touched you or not. I’ll see for myself.” 

“Test?” Vivian repeated, her voice shaky. 

Vivian’s gut twisted. She knew this was about to get ugly. 

“That’s right,” Eric replied with a wicked grin. “Let’s see if you’re still pure. If you are, then it means Shepard really hasn’t laid 

a finger on you. But if you’re not, Vivian, and you dared to lie to me, I’ll ruin you tonight.” 

Vivian scrambled back even faster, her steps shaky. She lost her balance and ended up on the floor. 

“No, stop,” Vivian cried out, her voice trembling with panic. “Eric, you can’t do this. Don’t even think about it.” 

“You afraid to let me see for myself?” Eric sneered, his voice full of mockery. 

“How could you even prove it? I have to stay untouched,” Vivian cried, panic rising in her voice. “If Shepard ever finds out I’m not. My whole world will fall apart.” 

Vivian was trembling uncontrollably, anxiety flooding every inch of her body, 

She’d told Shepard that he’d slept with her that night when he was drunk. 

But the truth was, he hadn’t touched her at all. 

Even so, there was no way Vivian would ever let Eric be her first, 

She’d rather take matters into her own hands and lose it herself than let Eric 

get his 

way. 

Eric let out a cold laugh. “He’s already had you. You just don’t want to give yourself to me, so you’re just lying to me.” 

He just couldn’t believe Shepard could really control himself like that. 

Men were all the same. They only thought with their dicks. 

No matter how much of a big shot Shepard was, he was still just a man with normal needs. 

Vivian shook her head desperately, pushing herself backward on the floor. “No, Eric, stop. You need to calm down. I’m Shepard’s girl,” she cried out, panic rising in her voice. 

Before she could finish, Eric lunged forward, grabbed her ankle, and yanked her hard toward him.

Vivian was dragged right up to him, completely helpless and terrified.

He grinned like a beast, his expression wicked and predatory. “Don’t be scared, I’ll treat you real nice. I’ve waited long enough. Let Shepard taste you first, then I’ll have my turn with the leftovers.” 

“No. Eric, let me go,” Vivian screamed, her voice shaking with fear. 

“Go ahead, scream all you want,” Eric sneered. “See if anyone comes to save you.” 

Vivian’s scream died in her throat. 

Eric moved in a flash, tearing off his clothes before Vivian could even react. 

Vivian squeezed her eyes shut, her fingers digging hard into her palms. 

But this pain was nothing compared to the pain that comes with her first time. 

Eric suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, staring at Vivian, completely stunned and unable to process what had just happened. 

Vivian lay there on the carpet, not moving an inch, her tears trickling silently down her cheeks. 

Her innocence, the one thing a woman treasures most, had just been cruelly ripped away by Eric. 

“No way, you actually,” Eric muttered, totally stunned. “You really were a virgin?” 

Vivian didn’t say a word. She just lay there, drowning in despair. 

Eric freaked out for a second. 

“Yeah, yeah, just get it fixed up. Shepard will never know,” Eric mumbled to himself, trying to calm down. 

Thinking he’d found a way out, Eric finally relaxed and smirked, feeling relieved. 

“It’s nothing,” Eric said with a twisted grin. “Come here and let me really enjoy you.” 

He’d been craving Vivian for a long time. 

She was the one Shepard wanted, and Eric was determined to be the first to get a taste. 

The thought of being her first made it all the sweeter. 

Just imagining it got Eric even more fired up. 

Ever since he was a kid, Eric had always lived under Shepard’s spotlight. 

Everyone knew Shepard was the future head of the Carter family. Eric was just an afterthought, only getting attention because of Shepard. Nobody ever really cared about him. 

No wonder Eric was eaten up with jealousy toward Shepard. 

‘Why is it always Shepard lordin‘ it over me, just because we’re both Carters?‘ Eric seethed inside, 

Vivian bit down so hard her jaw ached, not making a single sound the entire time. 

Hatred burned inside her. 

Vivian wished she could kill Eric right then and there.

‘Why did Eric have to stumble onto me that night when I set the fire and faked that whole heroic rescue for Shepard?‘ Vivian cursed herself, rage and helplessness boiling inside. 

‘Why the hell?‘ she thought, her mind spinning out of control. 

Because of that secret, Eric had her in a chokehold for years. 

Every time she tried to stand up to him, he’d just wave that threat in her face. 

‘God, I wish I could just kill Eric,‘ Vivian seethed inside. 

Afterward, Eric lazily pulled up his pants and flopped back onto the couch. 

Vivian picked up her clothes and got dressed. 

“Look at you. Shepard’s darling, and now you’re nothing but a pathetic dog groveling at my feet. 

“Too bad he didn’t want you. Guess I’ll just help myself,” Eric sneered, his voice thick with contempt. 

Vivian looked up, her eyes blazing with hatred as she glared at him. 

“So you’re glaring at me now?” Eric sneered, nudging her chin up with his foot. Vivian, do you really think you’re the one Shepard loves? Or have you forgotten how you made him fall for you? Need me to jog your memory?” 

Vivian snapped, her teeth clenched, “I haven’t forgotten.” 

Her dignity had been trampled into the dirt, and all she wanted now was to take Eric down with her, no matter the cost. 

She staggered to her feet, her clothes twisted and disheveled, barely clinging to her body. 

“Shepard never loved me. The truth is, he’s always been in love with Briana,” Vivian yelled. “He only cared about me because I saved him. But that whole rescue? It was a lie. All of it. Nothing but a damn lie. 

“I was the one who put him in danger, then faked saving him. I set that fire myself, just to make him fall for me. Eric, I know exactly what I am. Happy now? Is that what you wanted to hear? 

“If Shepard ever finds out that fire wasn’t some accident, that I planned the whole thing, I’ll lose everything. I’ll get locked up for good.” 

By the end, Vivian was screaming, her voice raw and hoarse. 

She might look like she had everything going for her, but it was all just a facade, 

She had no clue how much longer she could hold it together. 

“Good, as long as you understand,” Eric sneered. “If you want to keep living in luxury, you’d better do exactly as I say. When I tell you to go east, you don’t even think about heading west.” 

“Now you know I started that fire, and after tonight, I really am yours. Eric, I’m chained to you for life. There’s no way out for me anymore,” Vivian said, her voice shaking with despair. 

Vivian was past the point of no return. 

She was trapped. Now she had no choice but to be complicit with Eric in all his dirty schemes. 

“Make sure you get yourself patched up, so Shepard won’t start asking questions,” Eric warned, his voice low and menacing. “Don’t forget. I’ll get you in touch with a hospital and a doctor.” 

But Vivian just shook her head, her voice flat and cold. “Forget it.”

“Why? You want Shepard to find out?” Eric shot back, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
