Jared looked at Tracy, his eyes filled with disappointment, “Tracy, when you make a mistake, you should own up to it. Look at you now; you’re no different from a fishwife. Why can’t you be more like Yvonne? She is well-behaved, sensible, and her studies are top-notch. She’s a doctoral graduate from a top university here. Now look at you-what do you have that is better than her, besides being good at schemes?”
He was usually busy with work and rarely home, but he would try to put off work to come home and have a meal with her.
But every time Tracy returned, it ended in an unpleasant scene, and his mood was ruined.
Especially this time, Tracy actually sabotaged their collaboration with Vector Tech. It was too

Thinking this, a flicker of displeasure crossed Jared’s usually calm eyes, “Tracy, you should find a better reason when you lie. What can a Bachelor’s degree holder like you do at Vector Tech? Hearing this, Sarah also looked at Tracy, “Tracy, is what your brother says true?”
“No,” Tracy flatly denied. “I did go to Vector Tech today for an interview. Mr. Zach only took me to the department to report for duty. I am not very close to him.”
To prevent the Xander family from bothering her in the future, she felt it was best to pretend she wasn’t close to Sam.

Then, Sarah turned her attention to Yvonne, “As for you, you’re not a child anymore. When problems arise, you should look at your own actions first. Weigh your own capabilities before you act. Stop blaming others when things go wrong. Do you think exaggerating the story to them solves the problem? Or is it that you aren’t trying to solve the problem at all, but only trying to solve Tracy?”
She had seen clearly that Yvonne intentionally came to provoke trouble. Every time Tracy returned home, that girl would act up and try to cause a disturbance.
It pained her to see it. The reason she hadn’t spoken up for Tracy before was that she knew Tracy could handle herself.

Though Faye said that, she desperately wanted Tracy to go away and never come back.
Yvonne walked up, linking her arm with Tracy’s and smiled, “Yes, come back home. We sisters can keep each other company. You should move back.”
Tracy violently yanked her arm away from Yvonne, “A ‘bygones be bygones’ indeed! My mother trusted you and took pity on you. She found you a job and had my father look after you. And how did you repay my mother? You ended up with my father and even gave birth to Yvonne, the bastard. Don’t think your good life will last. Things that are stolen must eventually be returned. I hope you can still say that when the time comes.”

Tracy then remembered that she was supposed to be cooking oats for Grandma. She rushed into the kitchen. After being busy for a while, she finished preparing the oats.
By the time she carried the oats out, they had already finished eating and gone upstairs. I really am redundant in this house.
She placed the oats in front of Sarah, then untied her apron, and said to Sarah, “Grandma, I’m going back now.”
Linda told Tracy, “It’s late. Why don’t you have dinner before you go?”
Tracy looked at the leftovers on the dining table and shook her head, “No need. I already ate. Grandma, I’m leaving now. You take good care of your injury. I’ll come see you in a few days.”
“Good,” Sarah slipped a bank card into Tracy’s hand, “You came back for me today and suffered insults. Take this money.”
“There’s two hundred thousand in there. Life outside isn’t easy. Buy yourself some good food to replenish your strength. You’re so thin. It hurts me to see it.”
Stroking Tracy’s increasingly gaunt face, Sarah’s eyes were full of heartache. Every time she saw Tracy, it was as if she were seeing her second daughter. That’s why she favored this granddaughter so much.
The Xander family never understood why Sarah would favor Tracy, the granddaughter who grew up away from home, instead of Yvonne, whom she had raised since childhood.
Only Sarah knew that she was trying to compensate Tracy for the debt she owed her second daughter.
The mistake caused by her favoritism could not be undone. She could only try to make Tracy’s life a little better.
