When the caretaker stepped inside, she found Joseph tossing and turning in bed, clearly in distress.
She rushed over, face filled with concern. “Mr. Hunt, what’s wrong?”
“You were fine. What happened all of a sudden?
Her voice carried a trace of panic.
If Joseph collapsed now, there’d go her paycheck and any future payments too.
Right now, her top priority was figuring out what was going on.
Joseph gritted his teeth and managed to speak. “Get… get the doctor.”
That finally snapped her out of it. She quickly dropped the bag she was holding and ran out to find medical help.
Every second wasted could make things worse.
Just before the pain knocked him out, Joseph caught sight of the bag on the floor.
Those luxury supplements weren’t something a caretaker could afford.
So, someone had been here to see him?
Moments later, the caretaker returned with a doctor in tow.
Upon seeing Joseph’s state, the doctor hurried over and administered a sedative.
Only then did his condition begin to stabilize.
After a while, once Joseph’s breathing and heart rate calmed, the doctor asked cautiously, “How are you feeling now? Any better?”
Joseph took a long pause before finally answering, “Doctor, I remember everything.”
The doctor let out a quiet breath of relief. “Looks like the amnesia from your mild concussion has started to clear. Maybe something triggered it.”
“Something triggered it?”
Joseph repeated the phrase under his breath.
Right now, all he could think about was Aurora and how she had hit him hard enough to cause that very
concussion.

As for Judy, he would go see her soon–he had to figure out what was going on
There was no way he’d just let her walk out of his life like that.
The two of them had to stay bound together.
No matter life or death, sickness or health–if they’d chosen to be together, then they had to see it through
It might’ve sounded obsessive, but Joseph didn’t care.
She had agreed to this from the beginning.
If not, he never would’ve given her that villa.
Since she was living in his house, what was so wrong about expecting a stable life together?
He turned to the doctor and asked, “Doctor, with my condition right now, can I be discharged?”
The doctor blinked, just registering the question. “Ah, well… are you still feeling any pain in your head?
“When you think about the past, does it cause any discomfort?”
Joseph shook his head. “No. Nothing at all. Even when I recall everything, there’s no pain or dizziness.”
The doctor noted down his condition, then reviewed his recent bloodwork and charts.
After a brief pause, he nodded. “Alright. Then you’re cleared for discharge this afternoon. No further
observation is necessary.”
Joseph gave a small nod in thanks.
He couldn’t stand another minute in that hospital.
The smell of antiseptic alone was enough to drive him mad.
Not to mention, he’d had no freedom.
Everywhere he went, someone was tailing him, as if they were afraid he might run.
But that hadn’t been the case at all.
Now that he remembered everything, he knew exactly who had sent him here.
It was someone from Aurora’s side.
