“I’ve been busy with other matters lately. Your call came as a bit of a surprise.”

“If you are looking for more than that, I really have nothing else to offer. I wouldn’t know what else to do.”
Hearing this, Daniel froze for a moment.
True, he understood Joseph’s reasoning.
But who wasn’t greedy? Of course, he wanted something better.
If there was a better option, he certainly wouldn’t settle for what he had now.

Daniel took a drag from his cigarette, looking completely at ease.

“Walton Corporation–you’ve heard of them, right?” Daniel said directly.
“Of course I have. Why?”
At the mention of the familiar name, Joseph even sat up a little straighter.
