Chapter 1120
What’s more, Aurora had no idea what Lucas planned to do next, so her mind couldn’t quite catch up.
Because of that, she didn’t dare make any sudden moves.
The next second, however, he dropped to one knee, gently cupping her foot in his hand before resting it on his knee.
The room fell silent, every breath caught. No one dared make a sound as they stared at the scene.
Could it be what they thought it was?
The staff’s hearts were practically painted pink–if it was really happening, wasn’t this far too romantic?
All eyes followed Lucas‘ every move, and Aurora was keenly aware of it.
That was exactly why she felt so embarrassed.
After all, she was about to attend a banquet.
The stylists would surely gossip about this afterward.
To have him act like this in public made her flush with unease.
She whispered, “Lucas, what are you doing? Let me go, everyone’s watching.”
But Lucas didn’t budge.
He gazed at her delicate, pale foot with unguarded fondness.
His hand was so large that with just a gentle hold, it wrapped around her foot completely, effortlessly.
In a low voice, Lucas said, “Rora, let me put your shoes on.”
With his free hand, he picked up the heels.
The sky–blue stilettos looked even more exquisite resting in his broad palm.
The sight of those veined, masculine hands holding such a delicate shoe created a striking contrast–one that made the onlookers‘ pulses race.
A man that handsome with a woman that stunning–together they were a picture of perfection.
Just one glance was enough to make hearts pound.
Seeing how serious he was, Aurora could only hold her tongue.
Since he wanted to do something for her, why should Aurora refuse?

Right now, both her foot and the shoe were in his hands–whatever he intended, she couldn’t stop him
anyway.
Seeing that she didn’t resist, Lucas‘ mood instantly lifted.
His lips curved faintly as he slipped the heels onto her feet with the utmost care, as though he were
handling a priceless treasure.
To say Aurora wasn’t moved would be a lie.
Looking down at the man kneeling before her, warmth flooded her chest, especially seeing him on one knee, doing this for her in front of so many people–how could she not be touched?
When Lucas finally placed both shoes on her feet, Aurora snapped out of her daze.
He gently set her feet back on the floor, his low voice following. “There. Try standing–see if they fit.”
Aurora answered with a soft “Mm,” the corners of her lips lifting as happiness wrapped around her.
She simply watched as Lucas slipped the heels onto her with such tenderness.
Her pale, rosy feet seemed to glow even brighter against the shimmer of the sky–blue heels.
At the end, he even cradled both of her feet in his palms, gazing at them with eyes full of affection.
Flustered, Aurora pulled her feet back, feeling her cheeks burn.
“That’s enough, Lucas. We need to get to the banquet,” she reminded in a whisper.
At her words, Lucas finally relented.
He didn’t waste another moment.
“Then let’s go, my queen.”
The words struck everyone present like a thunderclap.
He hadn’t called her “princess” but “queen.”
It meant that in his world, Aurora wasn’t beneath him–she was his equal, perhaps even above him.
