Chapter 1125
“Hey, are you all losing your minds? Isn’t that Miss Aurora, the second heiress of Walton Corporation, who’s hosting tonight’s banquet?”
At those words, everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief.
They all knew of the Walton family’s second daughter.
From what they remembered, she was beautiful, yes–but never this breathtaking.
Had they overlooked something before?
They looked at each other, unsure what to say.
Who would’ve thought they’d come to this banquet without even remembering what the host’s daughter looked like? It almost felt embarrassing to be here at all.
But Aurora paid no attention to their thoughts.
She looked at Lucas beside her, lifted her arm, and naturally slipped it into his.
The two of them, walking so closely together, were the very picture of a golden couple.
A man and a woman this striking were bound to dazzle the eye.
And with Aurora and Lucas–each at the very peak of beauty–it was more than surprising, it was
mesmerizing.
From the car all the way to the banquet hall, people couldn’t help but watch.
Aurora, accustomed to being the center of attention, hardly noticed.
But Lucas was different.
She leaned in and asked softly, “Are you alright? Do you feel uncomfortable with all this?”
After all, she was the one who had asked him to come. If it unsettled him, she would feel guilty.
She might have been used to it, but she couldn’t expect the same of him. That wouldn’t be fair.
Lucas shook his head, bending close to her ear. “It’s fine. As long as I’m with you, nothing scares me. Don’t think of me as fragile. I can protect you too.”
Aurora’s lips curved into a small smile.
The air between them shimmered with a sweetness so palpable it was as if pink bubbles floated around them, impenetrable to outsiders.

At the entrance, once the staff recognized Aurora, they bowed with utmost respect and ushered the pair
inside.
As they stepped into the banquet hall, Aurora finally took in the full view of the grand room.
Gold and resplendent, grand and majestic.
Those were the first words that came to Aurora’s mind.
A server stepped forward respectfully. “Miss Aurora, please, this way. Madam Grace has been waiting for
you.”
Aurora gave a slight nod to show she understood.
Arm in arm with Lucas, she entered the banquet hall, already filled with guests.
As her gaze swept the room, she mentally noted each familiar and unfamiliar face, quickly organizing everything in her mind.
The moment the doors opened and the two of them stepped inside, countless eyes turned toward them.
When people caught sight of their breathtaking looks, hushed whispers rippled through the crowd.
“Do you know who they are?”
“Seriously, haven’t you looked properly?”
Finally, one guest couldn’t hold back anymore. To attend a banquet yet fail to recognize the host’s daughter–it was laughable.
At his words, everyone turned toward him, puzzled.
He rolled his eyes and explained, “Come on, that woman is Madam Grace’s second daughter. She’s the general manager of Walton Corporation–the one who’s closed so many major deals. You mean to tell me you didn’t know that?”
