Chapter 1209
“Alright, alright, I knew this was what you were best at,” Aurora reminded her.
“Make sure you order something nutritious that’ll give them energy and don’t forget water for the workers, it’s hot out.”
“No problem, leave it to me.” Megan gave Aurora an OK sign with her hand.
She wasn’t skilled at much else, but when it came to food and drinks, she knew exactly what to do. The workers would be well taken care of.
Aurora let it go at that–she trusted Megan enough with this task.
While she and lan were discussing things, a sudden knock sounded at the door of the townhouse.
“Hello, is this the place rented by Miss Walton?” a man’s voice called.
The unexpected interruption caught everyone’s attention.
Megan happened to be sitting closest to the door. Hearing the voice, she looked out.
“What is it? Who are you?”
Daniel adjusted his clothes when he saw her. “Hello, I’m here to see Miss Walton. I’ve come to the right place, haven’t I?”
Megan nodded. “Yes, you’re in the right place. This is where she’s renting, and it’ll be her studio in the
future.”
Hearing that, Daniel broke into a pleased smile. “Good, I’ve found the right place then. Could you do me a
favor and let her know I’m here?”
Megan saw he looked genuinely urgent, so she hurried inside to tell Aurora. “Aurora, there’s a man
outside asking for you.”
Aurora exchanged a glance with Ian. Neither of them could guess who would come looking for her at this
hour.
“Did he say his name?” Aurora asked curiously.
“Oh right, I completely forgot to ask!” Megan slapped her thigh in frustration.
She hadn’t even thought to ask who he was.
Aurora smiled helplessly at her.
“It’s fine. I’ll go out and see who it is.”

Megan quickly added, “But it’s obvious he’s here for you–looks pretty urgent.”
“Alright.”
Aurora nodded without saying more.
She walked toward the door, only to be met with a familiar face.
“Mr. Lewis, what brings you here?” she exclaimed in surprise.

Daniel’s eyes grew misty when he saw her. “Miss Walton, you have no idea how hard it’s been to find you.”
“What is it you’re looking for me about?” Aurora led him to a nearby café. “Let’s sit there instead. My studio’s still under renovation, so I can’t host you inside just yet.”
“Of course, I understand.” Daniel didn’t press the matter. After all, barging into an unfinished studio would have been inappropriate.
Once at the café, the two of them sat across from each other.
Aurora slid the menu toward him. “I don’t know what kind of coffee you prefer–take a look.”
Daniel didn’t stand on ceremony and ordered the house specialty. “I’m not familiar with this place, so I’ll just go with their signature.”
Aurora glanced at the menu he’d chosen–it was indeed the café’s specialty, and a refined choice at that. She had to admit she found it admirable.
“You’ve got good taste, Mr. Lewis,” she said with a smile.
She picked a coffee for herself and handed the menu back to the waiter.
“Mr. Lewis, I don’t think you came all this way just for a cup of coffee,” Aurora said directly, cutting straight to the point.
