Chapter 1252
At the very least, her words mattered to someone, and there was someone whose soul resonated with hers.
Aurora suddenly said earnestly, “Lucas, about before–I’m sorry. I didn’t think it through. I should’ve told you about the studio earlier.”
“You don’t need to apologize to me.” Lucas tightened his arms around her, holding her completely in his
embrace.
Resting his chin lightly on her soft hair, he murmured, “No matter what happens, I’ll always be behind you. Even if you don’t tell me, I won’t be upset. After all, it’s your freedom.
“I remember what you once said–that everyone should be an independent individual. So, I can’t force you to follow my standards.”
Aurora froze. She hadn’t expected Lucas to be so understanding.
“Next time, if anything comes up, I’ll make sure to tell you myself.”
This time, the promise came from Aurora.
A glimmer flashed in Lucas‘ eyes.
As he thought, what she needed was a guiding partner.
As long as he didn’t push her, she would reflect on her own and naturally choose to keep her distance from
others, sharing things with him of her own accord.
That way, he wouldn’t need to worry at all.
Before Lucas could respond, Aurora suddenly sat up, looking at him seriously. “Lucas, will you come to the
ribbon–cutting tomorrow?”
Realizing she had blurted it out too hastily, she quickly explained, “I mean, if you’re free, would you like to join
me at the ceremony? It’s such an important moment, and I want to share it with you.”
Her words made Lucas widen his eyes–shock first, then a surge of joy washed over him.
He sat up too, pulling Aurora into his arms.
“Of course I will.” His voice carried an unmistakable excitement. “You inviting me is the happiest thing I could

Aurora hadn’t expected him to agree so quickly. She thought she’d have to persuade him more, but clearly she
had overthought it.
Her eyes sparkled like stars. “Alright, then tomorrow it is.”
After making the promise, Aurora felt as if a weight had been lifted from her heart. With Lucas by her side, she
would feel far more at ease.
Lucas gazed at her profile nestled in his arms, surprised but even more delighted.
After all, when Aurora rented the courtyard house, she hadn’t told him anything. But now, she was willing to
invite him to the ribbon–cutting.
At that moment, Lucas understood what she meant–she probably just hadn’t wanted to trouble him before.
But when it came to something honorable, she wanted the two of them to share it together.
To him, Aurora was almost foolish in her sincerity. Someone this good deserved the very best in the world.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be there right on time tomorrow.”
Hearing this, Aurora finally relaxed and drifted to sleep in his arms.
Lucas lowered his head and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
“Goodnight, my princess. Sweet dreams.”
The next morning, Aurora rose early.
Not wanting to disturb Lucas‘ rest, she tiptoed downstairs and headed straight to the studio.
