When the three of them stepped outside, they finally saw what the delivery man meant–three trucks were parked by the entrance, each loaded with nothing but flower stands.
Megan couldn’t hold back her comment. “With all these, our whole street really could be packed full.”
Aurora was just as surprised. Who on earth would send so many?
Ian, however, stayed calm. “Doesn’t matter who sent them. Let’s unload first. They’re blocking the road, and it’ll affect people coming later.”
Aurora nodded quickly. “Right, just leave them at the entrance for now. The reporters will be here soon for the ribbon–cutting.”
Megan muttered under her breath, “Aurora, I think we should cancel the flower stands we ordered ourselves. Clearly, we won’t need them anymore.”
Aurora found herself agreeing. Whoever had sent this many had already filled the entire street. Their own order hadn’t arrived yet–better to just cancel it.
The delivery men started unloading, while Aurora and the others helped out.
As Aurora carried down one of the stands, a man suddenly reached out and took it from her hands.
“Thanks,” she said automatically, not yet seeing who it was.
“No need to thank me,” came a familiar voice. Aurora looked up in surprise.
“Lucas, what are you doing here so early?” She clearly remembered he’d still been asleep when she left. She had only risen early today because of the studio opening.
“Of course I’d come. It’s my wife’s studio’s grand opening–I wouldn’t miss it.‘
Lucas took her hand, set her aside gently, then stepped forward. “Let me help.”
The moment she saw him there, Aurora felt her heart settle.
Then a sudden thought struck her.
“These flowers… don’t tell me they’re from you?”
Lucas didn’t even try to deny it. He nodded. “Yes. It’s your first time opening a company, so I thought I’d buy these stands to make it lively, give you some presence.”
Aurora was at a loss for words.
She pressed her hand to her forehead helplessly. “Even if you wanted to make it lively, you didn’t have to buy this many. The whole street is overflowing–when the reporters come, where are they supposed to stand?”
Lucas rubbed his nose, looking a little embarrassed.
“I didn’t expect it to be this many. I just wanted to give you the best, so… I ended up buying out the shop’s entire

stock.”
Facing his awkward expression, Aurora couldn’t bring herself to scold him. In the end, he had only done it for
her.
She softened her tone. “Alright, I know you meant well. Once the delivery men set them up, we’ll be ready for the ribbon–cutting.”
Megan was helping on the side, but when she realized her cousin had sent all those flower stands, she couldn’t resist grumbling.
“Men really do have money to burn. Instead of wasting it like this, he could’ve just given me a little more allowance. Then my parents wouldn’t be docking me all the time.”
Lucas‘ low, chilling voice suddenly sounded right beside her. “What was that you just said?”
Megan jumped at the familiar voice.
“N–nothing! I definitely wasn’t saying you’ve been cutting my allowance.”
Lucas was speechless.
