Chapter 1441Â
“Alright then, I’ll ask Megan later.”Â
“Yes, she knows what’s going on. She’ll tell you everything. She’s probably still busy right now,” Eleanor replied briskly, then added, “Aurora, I’ve got something to take care of on my end. Let’s talk another time.”Â
Hearing that, Aurora immediately understood that Eleanor clearly didn’t want to continue the conversation.Â
She hung up the call politely, not wanting to push further. Staring at the darkened phone screen, she fell into thought.Â
Something still felt off. Leonard was in a car accident, so why hadn’t anyone told her? And why was Megan acting so strangely concerned? The whole thing didn’t make sense.Â
Just as she was about to call Megan again, Ian stepped into the room.Â
He placed a stack of documents on her desk and said respectfully, “Boss, these are the materials for this afternoon’s meeting. You can review them in advance.”Â
“Alright, leave them here,” Aurora replied.Â
Then, as if something occurred to her, she looked up and asked, “After going through them, do you have any thoughts?”Â
Ian thought for a moment before answering seriously, “Actually, Mr. Lewis has already offered us very favorable terms for this collaboration.Â
“I’ve done an on–site inspection, and the project is ready to move forward soon. All that’s left is to finalize some partnership details and confirm which suppliers we’ll source materials from.”Â
He paused. “Other than that, there’s nothing major. Oh, except we still haven’t decided on a designer.”Â
Aurora smiled, genuinely impressed. “Ian, you’ve really improved a lot.”Â
“It’s all thanks to your guidance,” Ian said with sincere admiration. “Working under you, I’ve learned so much. Compared to before, I can actually see my own growth.”Â
Aurora waved off his praise modestly.Â
“That’s because you’ve got good instincts, and you learn fast. You don’t need to thank me. Everything you’ve achieved comes from your own effort.Â
“I truly mean it when I say I’ve seen your progress. Keep it up, Ian. Even if I’m not around in the future, I know you’ll manage the studio just fine.”Â
When Ian heard Aurora say that, he immediately panicked. His tone grew anxious.Â
“Boss, what do you mean by that–‘if you’re not around‘? Are you planning to give up the studio?”Â
Aurora couldn’t help but laugh. “No, you’ve got it all wrong. I just meant when I’m away for a show or on business trips, someone I trust has to keep things running here. And right now, that person is clearly you.”Â

Hearing that, Ian finally let out a sigh of relief. “Boss, you scared me for a second. I really thought you were planning to shut down the studio.”Â
Aurora immediately countered, “How could I? I just started this place. It’s like my baby. I haven’t even seen it grow and flourish yet. How could I possibly abandon it now?”Â
Realizing how ridiculous his own assumption sounded, Ian chuckled awkwardly. “You’re right, I was overthinking it. But don’t worry, Boss, whenever you’re away for shoots or business trips, I’ll make sure the studio runs perfectly.”Â
