Chapter 1481Â
Aurora came back so suddenly without a word of notice, and with such an aggressive attitude too.Â
Tessa couldn’t shake off the feeling that Aurora must have gotten hold of some kind of evidence–an uneasy tension gnawed at her.Â
Tessa gave a mocking laugh and spoke first. “You must be back because you missed Mom, right? It’s been quite a while since you last saw her.”Â
“Didn’t we just have a family dinner last week?”Â
Tessa froze.Â
This damn Aurora–she was clearly doing it on purpose. Why did every word she said seem aimed at tearing her down?Â
It was as if they were born enemies.Â
In truth, that was exactly how Aurora felt. Since she disliked the person, she saw no reason to hide it.Â
She had never been the kind to flatter or please anyone.Â
Since Tessa was openly targeting her, why should she be polite?Â
They were better off as enemies in plain sight.Â
Aurora spoke bluntly. “I came here today mainly because of what’s happening online.”Â
Before Aurora could finish, Grace quickly cut in. “I’ve heard about it too. Don’t think about asking the Waltons for help.Â
“This kind of problem is something you should face on your own. You’re a grown woman now. Surely you don’t need to run back to your mother every time something happens?”Â
Aurora was speechless. What on earth made Grace think she came to ask for help?Â
Wasn’t that absurd?Â
She had Lucas now–if she really needed help, wouldn’t going to him be much faster?Â
That was exactly what she thought, and she said it just as directly.Â
Grace looked a little embarrassed, realizing that what Aurora said wasn’t wrong.Â
“Then why did you come here?”Â
“Since I said it’s about what’s happening online, of course I’m here to talk properly about it.”Â
Aurora’s words were directed at Grace, but her gaze shifted toward Tessa. “I want an explanation from you both, especially from you, Tessa.”Â
Tessa flinched instinctively, a bad feeling rising in her chest.Â

Grace looked at her daughter in confusion, then turned back to Aurora. “What do you mean by that?”Â
“If you really want to know, you can ask your precious eldest daughter.”Â
Aurora’s lips curved into a faint, mocking smile as she looked at Tessa. She had made herself perfectly clear.Â
How could Grace still not understand what she meant?Â
Did she really need to spell it out word by word and feed it to her?Â
Finally, realization dawned on Grace’s face. She turned sharply toward Tessa. “Didn’t you say you knew nothingÂ
about what’s online?”Â
“I really don’t know, Mom.‘Â
Tessa clenched her hands tightly, trying to keep her emotions from slipping through.Â
She knew this was a critical moment. She couldn’t let Grace see through her act.Â
Even now, with no way out, she had to keep pushing forward and not reveal a single flaw.Â
Even if Aurora had already seen through her, so what? She still had Aaron to back her up.Â
After all, she hadn’t done it herself; she had only said a few words to push Aaron into action.Â
