Chapter 1549

Seeing the situation unfold, the director cast a quick glance at Aurora

She met his eyes for only a moment before subtly shakding her head, signaling him not to stop the broadcast.

She knew how much effort he’d poured into this show. Cutting the live feed now would waste everything he’d

built.

Running into Yvonne on set had been unexpected, but Aurora had assumed they could at least remain professional

just film the show, do their jobs, and move on.

It was that simple.

But she’d clearly underestimated her.

Yvonne had come prepared to make trouble, and every move since the start had been meant to trip her up.

If Aurora stayed silent now, Yvonne would only think she was easy to push around.

“Miss Song, you’ve misunderstood,” Aurora said calmly. “My assistant didn’t mean any disrespect.”

She turned slightly toward Megan, her tone firm but gentle. “She’s not just my assistant. She’s also my friend. Still, if her words offended you, I’ll apologize on her behalf.”

Then she met Yvonne’s gaze again, her voice steady and clear. “That said, let’s stay on the facts. This all began because you questioned my design, which is why I drew that sketch, to prove my concept was sound.”

Yvonne folded her arms, a smirk tugging at her lips.

“And what exactly are you trying to say?”

She already knew the live comments were likely siding with her.

No matter what Aurora said now, it would only sound like an excuse. Even someone as composed as Aurora had to bow her head eventually.

But then Aurora smiled faintly.

“What I mean, Miss Song, is that my drawing wasn’t meant to provoke. It was to show my reasoning behind the ‘ Luminous Synergy’ concept.

“Yet you kept rejecting it outright. My friend simply asked you to share your own approach in return, to explain why your design works better than mine.”

Her tone softened, though her words carried an unmistakable edge. “She didn’t mean any harm, and I believe everyone here can see that. She’s straightforward, that’s all.

“But you, Miss Song, why twist her intentions? Could it be that you’ve had a problem with me from the start?”

“I…”

1/2

Yvonne froze, caught off guard by Aurora’s calm but pointed question.

She hadn’t expected Aurora to be so quick-witted, just a few simple lines of reasoning, and her composure was

already slipping.

“So, Miss Song,” Aurora continued smoothly, her tone polite but unwavering.

“Would you be willing to forgive my friend’s bluntness? After all, she was only curious why you chose to design

the old house that way.

“Of course, I’m sure you have your own reasons, perhaps even something you’d prefer not to reveal?”

Her words were soft, almost courteous, yet each one landed with precision.

The effect was immediate. Public opinion shifted within seconds. The audience that had once accused Aurora of poor leadership now began to see things differently.

People realized Yvonne had been contradicting herself all along, criticizing Aurora’s work without ever showing her own, acting superior but refusing to back up her claiMiss

Aurora, on the other hand, had laid everything out in the open-her drawings, reasoning, and confidence in her

craft.

She wasn’t afraid of being copied or challenged.

And that honesty, more than anything, won the crowd to her side.
