Seeing the softened expression on Aurora’s face, Lucas finally felt a bit of relief. 

It seemed things were no longer as tense as before. 

He didn’t want to fight with her, not after everything they had been through to reach this point. Any conflict now would only hurt them both. 

“So… can you believe me now?” he asked, unwilling to let the moment pass without hearing her answer. 

Aurora nodded. “I believe you. I know you don’t have feelings for her. But right now, everyone still thinks otherwise. 

“People keep pairing you and Yvonne together, and honestly, it doesn’t feel good to see that.” 

“Then why don’t we make it official?” Lucas suggested at just the right moment. 

He had wanted to go public with their marriage for a long time; he just hadn’t found the right opportunity. Now that Aurora had brought it up, it felt like the perfect chance to finally do it. 

If they announced it openly, all the speculation would stop, and people would stop drawing false conclusions. 

Aurora was tempted to agree, but after a moment’s thought, she hesitated. 

If they made their relationship public too suddenly, the internet would twist it again, claiming she was only doing it because she couldn’t compete with Yvonne. 

There were too many people online waiting to mock her.
