He began explaining, “Because of Julian’s current condon, we at the department aren’t sure how to proceed with the charges.
“That said, the crimes he committed those are clear a day.”
Grace clapped in agreement. “Exactly. If he dared to do something, so outrageous, then he better be ready to face the consequences!”
Her words pierced Julian’s heart like needles, sharp and unrelenting.
His gaze flickered slightly, lips barely moving, and in th unnoticed corner of the room, his eyes darkened.
He had memorized every one of their faces.
He thought faking, madness would help him escape pun ment.

Albert collapsed into the chair, drained and speechless.
