Kelvin stared at the medal in his palm, his gaze intense and his tone steady. Get me the earliest flight. I need to get back to Grindel City right away.”

Hearing this, Randolph hurried over. Kelvin, why are you leaving so soon?

The heads of the aerospace division still want to meet you and see if we can work out the next phase of cooperation with Gibson Group.”

Randolph sounded genuinely hopeful. Unless the company’s about to go bankrupt, everything else can wait. Just make sure you show up for tonight’s dinner.”

Kelvin said, his tone clearly evasive, Mr. Duncan, I have something to take care of tonight”

But before he could finish, Randolph was called away by his secretary. He only said, Peter, don’t forget to help Mr. Gibson freshen up and look his best!”

Mr. Gibson, should I go ahead and book your flight?Peter asked.

Kelvin rubbed his temples. No need for now. We’ll sort it out after the dinner tonight.”

He still couldn’t get Edwina off his mind, so he grabbed his phone and shot her a message.

Kelvin: [Is something wrong? I can’t make it back to Grindel City today, but I can send someone to help you if you need.]

But the message vanished into thin air. She didn’t reply at all.

Mr. Gibson, stop staring at your phone. Time to get changed for dinner,Peter reminded him.

Alright,” he replied, his tone indifferent.

Kelvin slipped his phone back into his suit pocket, unwilling to let go, masking the disappointment in his

eyes.

Meanwhile, in Grindel City.

Edwina hurried to Design Harmony. Even though it was well past quitting time, the place was still packed with people.

Everyone was rushing around like their lives depended on it. The air was thick with tension and anxiety.

Only the higherups knew who she was. None of the regular employees had ever seen her before, so nobody paid any attention to this random stranger who just walked in.

Edwina squeezed into the elevator, getting shoved into a corner as everyone was gossiping nonstop.

The PR team’s totally losing it, trying to squash all the gossip online. Even the finance folks got dragged in to help. Honestly, looks like we’re doomed this time, someone muttered.
