Chapter 6
The day before she left, Juliet’s father sent someone to pick up both his daughters from the
hospital.
Juliet and Charlotte got into the same car.
However, halfway through the journey, the driver suddenly turned the car around and entered a
narrow road.
By the time Juliet realized something was wrong, the car had already stopped in front of an
abandoned factory.
The driver opened the car door, and two men with fierce expressions rushed over, pulling both her
and Charlotte out of the car.
Charlotte was terrified and screamed at the top of her lungs, “Help! Let me go!”
Juliet was equally stunned.
The driver had been arranged by her father, so how had kidnappers intercepted it?
As she was lost in thought, the two were thrown into a crumbling storage room.
One thug smirked. “One’s Spencer Whitmore’s fiancée, and the other his future sister–in–law. Asking him for a hundred million ransom seems fair enough, doesn’t it?”
Charlotte’s eyes widened, and before she could speak, the kidnapper dialed Spencer’s number, putting the phone on speaker.
“Hello?” Spencer’s deep voice came through the receiver.
The kidnapper signaled to Charlotte, who immediately sobbed, “Spencer, it’s me, Charlotte!”
“I… I’ve been kidnapped, they want a hundred million in ransom…”
Spencer’s tone instantly turned cold. “Don’t touch Charlotte! Send account details. The money’s yours in minutes.”
Upon hearing this, the kidnapper shoved the phone toward Juliet. “You say something, too. If Spencer adds another five million, you walk free, too.”
Juliet clenched her fists.

After everything, would Spencer spend a cent to save her?
As she tried to figure out what to say, another kidnapper whispered to his partner, “Boss, didn’t Juliet say the ransom was one hundred million? Why…”
Though the whisper was low, Spencer heard it clearly through the phone.
His grip on the phone tightened, and his face darkened as if it could drip with anger.
So, Juliet had orchestrated this.
The bribed driver. The outrageous ransom. All her scheme.
With that thought, Spencer spoke coldly, “Juliet’s life isn’t my concern. Do what you want with her!”
If Juliet wanted money so badly, he’d give it to her–consider it a way to sever their toxic bond.
Hearing this, Juliet’s heart dropped to the pit of her stomach.
So Spencer really wanted her dead…
There had never been love.
Only endless, deep–rooted hatred.
Not long after, the sound of screeching brakes echoed outside the warehouse.
Spencer stormed into the warehouse and tightly embraced Charlotte.
Then, as if seeing garbage, he shot a glance at Juliet in the corner, saying to the kidnappers, “The money’s been transferred. As for Juliet, do whatever you want with her, sell her to traffickers or slit her throat. Your choice.”
Juliet watched, numb, as Spencer carried Charlotte and left.
Once they were gone, the kidnappers stopped pretending, their faces showing obvious mockery.
“We heard you slept with Spencer, thought he might have some feelings for you. Turns out, he won’t even spare five million for you. Worthless bitch!”
Juliet coldly looked at the kidnappers. “You’ve got the money now. Let me go.”

“Go?” One of the kidnappers sneered as if hearing the greatest joke. “The fun’s just starting!”
The two men grinned as they lunged at Juliet, tearing her clothes off.
was pressed hard against her skin!
In the next second, a searing cigarette butt was pressed hard against her skin!
Juliet let out a piercing scream, sweat mixing with tears as it streamed down her face.
The sight of her in such a pathetic state only made the kidnappers more excited.
“Heard this was your daily routine at school. Let’s relive it, yeah?” one of them said.
“Bro, should we brand her with something?” the other asked.
“Sure, what should we brand her with?”
“Slut–nice and fitting! Hahaha…”
The cigarette butts were pressed one by one on her legs, waist, and back. Juliet’s body was drenched in sweat, almost losing consciousness from the pain.
It seemed like an eternity before the two finally stopped. Their cruel laughter echoed as they swaggered out of the room.
Juliet lay curled up in the ruins, her body spasming intermittently.
As the sky darkened and the intense pain slowly subsided, she struggled to get up, using the wall to steady herself, her steps unsteady as she moved forward.
