“Thank you, Enya,” I say, trying to maintain a level of professionalism in front of the others. “If you’d follow us everyone, Enya has dinner ready for us,” I say.
I follow them out to the dining hall, then announce that everyone can return to their rooms.
I notice Caleb sitting alone and watching me with his arms crossed over his body. I’m not confident that he didn’t have a part of this, so I make a mental note, to myself, adding Braden, Enya, and Shane that we need to keep an eye on him.

After meeting with the council and the investigators, it was late. As we walked out of the room, Alpha James looked at Alpha Sebastian.
“Whiskey talk?”
“I’d love that,” Alpha Sebastian said.
“Can I get in on that?” Councilwoman Charlotte asks.
“I’d be disappointed if you didn’t,” Alpha Christina says, smiling at her. “We’re on the Alpha floor. Why don’t you go say hi to your family, tell them we said hi, and then come join us.

“Perfect,” she says, breaking off with the others on the Gamma floor.
“I’m coming too, just so everyone knows,” Alpha Benjamin says.
“The more the merrier,” Alpha Sebastian says. “We’ll leave our door open.”
“How about us, Christian? Do we get to have a whiskey talk?” I ask quietly.
He looks at me a moment then turns to Shane.
“Shane, Sebi, do you want to have a young version of a whiskey talk?” he asks them.
“Who you calling old, kid?” Alpha James asks. “Don’t make me sic Sylvie on you,” he says

“I would never offend Luna Sylvie that way,” Christian says, grinning back.
“Which room?” Shane asks.
“Christian has whiskey, let’s go there,” Sebastiana says.
Christian has just opened his door to let us in when I hear a woman joyously calling Alpha Christina’s name from speakerphone.
“Oh, I’m going to go say hi. I’ll be right back,” Sebastiana says.
“Who is that?” I ask.
“Luna Sylvie. I should go say hi as well. Help yourselves, I’ll be right back,” he says.
I walk over to where Christian keeps his whiskey. “Ice or no ice?” I ask Shane.
He raises an eyebrow at me. “Since when do you drink whiskey?”
“Since Christian and I have had our own whiskey talks,” I tell him, putting an ice cube in mine and rattling it in my glass as I look at him.
“Ice for me too, and for Tiana.”
“Who?” I ask him.
“Sebastiana. I wanted my own name for her,” he says, shrugging as if it’s no big deal. But I know my brother. He’s like me. He’s never been a player even though pack members have
thrown themselves at him for years.
“So, while we have a few minutes, what do you think of going to the Academy with Sebastiana?” I ask him.
“Honestly, she’s like a breath of fresh air. I love our parents, I would never say anything bad about them, but I had no idea how uptight they were, did you?” he asks me.
“None. Just seeing how others assume that I’m going to the Academy and mom never once
