Chapter 91Â
“Relax,” I whisper in her ear.Â
“What if …” she begins.Â
I bite down on her ear, a gentle show of dominance. “Relax.”Â
She nods and leans back against me. I entwined our fingers together, giving her something to hold on to while our friends and family sat around the firepit with us, waiting for midnight.Â
I didn’t need a clock to tell me when it was midnight. I felt Tiana’s body go rigid in my arms and my own body swelled with pleasure and desire I never dreamed possible.Â
“Oh fuck, you smell like the most buttery, salty popcorn in the world,” Tiana growls.Â
I hear her family laughing around us, but I only have eyes for my mate as she turns in my lap. The moment her eyes lock on mine, I feel the final tethers, all but one, snap into place.Â
“Mine,” she growls.Â
“Mine!” I growl back.Â
I stand, carrying her to our bedroom without bothering to say goodnight to anyone. Then I made her mine in every way possible, sinking my canines into her marking spot as she did to me.Â
When our minds connected, I felt Tiana’s love, passion, and power flow through me as the final tether between us snapped into place. I madeÂ

Nineteen Years LaterÂ
ChristinaÂ
I look out over Shane and Sebi’s pack, seeing my family everywhere IÂ
look.Â
They’re not all here. After years of being in demand by the Council, Christian decided he wanted to become an instructor at the Academy. The Council was just as happy to have him there as they were having him help young, struggling Alphas achieve greatness. I’m not just saying that because he’s my son. It’s because every young Alpha that Christian mentored made it to the leaderboard. His reputation for creating strong, powerful Alphas became so well known that the packs began offering him obscene amounts of money to come train their sons before they went to the Academy. But my son remained true to himself and his calling. He only ever took jobs where the young Alphas had lost their parents for one reason or another and needed a menÂ
The Council also recognized Enya’s impact on the packs. While Christian would mentor the Alpha heirs, Enya helped to put the packs back in working order. She also worked with the younger Alphas to help them achieve their own greatness when they went to the Academy.Â
So, while my son and daughter–in–law are not here, their son, Christian Jr., or CJ as we call him, is here with his mate. CJ, like his father, his grandfather, his uncles, his sister, and his cousins achieved number one on the leaderboard. He maintained that position until my otherÂ
grandson, Colin Sebastian, Shane and Sebi’s first born, bumped him off this past semester.Â

Shane and Aunt Sebi going to do now?” CJ asks me quietly as we watch Colin accepting his role as Alpha in his pack.Â
“They’re taking a semester off, then they want to become instructors at the Academy as well,” I say grinning.Â
“Thank the goddess I did my stint at the Academy already,” he says, making me chuckle.Â
