After changing into her pajamas, Luna looked at the neatly made bed and felt a warm wave rise in her chest.
She told herself, “This is my family. I worked so hard to make it to the top in the Department, so I could come back and take care of them. You’ve got this, Luna. You just need a little time to adapt to this.
Luna had always kept up her morning run routine, even back at the Department. She was disciplined like
clockwork–up at 5 am. every day for her i
So when she returned the next morning, it was barely 6 a.m. She wore a sporty outfit, one Sophia had bought at some point, but it fit her like a glove.
Not far away, parked quietly on the side of the road, was a black Cayenne. Inside, in the back seat, Julian sat watching her every move.
It was still the same cold, untouchable heir of the Frost family. But now, watching Luna, there was a spark in his eyes that hadn’t been there before.
Julian thought with a smile, ‘It’s really her. After three years’s painstaking effort, I finally found her. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. The way she moved and her graceful frame were magnetic.
As the first female legend of the Ironrile Empire, Luna had sharp instincts. She suddenly felt someone watching her. She turned around, but there was nothing–just a black car across the street.
She brushed off the feeling and walked into a small breakfast place nearby.
Julian’s heart was racing. The second she looked his way, he felt like his chest might burst. He’d never felt anything like it before.
“Mr. Frost, that’s her, right?” Noah asked.
“Yeah.” Julian nodded, looking calm.
He had rushed overnight to Metroville just to confirm if it was really the woman he’d been searching for. Now that he had, he wasn’t in a rush anymore.
He knew he didn’t have to rush now. He had all the time in the world to win her over.
Julian gave an order. “Set it up. I want the apartment next to hers. After all, the best way to win a girl’s heart
was to stay close to her.
“Yes, Mr. Frost. I’ll take care of it. Want me to drop you at the hotel for a nap or something?” Noah offered. He knew Julian hadn’t slept a wink all night.
Julian raised a hand, signaling Noah to stop talking. His eyes were still glued to the breakfast shop where Luna

“You wanna grab a bite too, sir?” Noah asked, curious.
He thought, ‘Mr. Frost has been dying to see her for so long, he must wanna say hi to her.
Julian shook his head. “Not like this. I want to look my best when I face her.”
Noah blinked, a little stunned. He muttered inwardly, ‘Wow, Mr. Frost really does look like a guy who’s fallen
hard.”
Julian didn’t care what Noah thought. His mind went wild. ‘When I finally stand in front of her, I wonder what she’ll do. Will she remember me? These three years, I’ve thought about her every single day.
It wasn’t until Luna left the shop that the black car quietly drove off. After dropping Julian at the hotel, Noah got straight to work.
Sophia’s apartment had only two units on that floor. The other one was already occupied. The current tenant didn’t want to leave, since it was a luxury building, and the housing market had been booming-
But the second he saw the check Noah pulled out, he nodded immediately. “Just give me a few days. I’ll move
out soon.”
Noah frowned. He knew Julian didn’t have much patience for delays.
Noticing Noah’s hesitation, the tenant added, “I’ll go right this second. Leave all this stuff here.” He grabbed his documents and dashed out like the check might vanish if he didn’t run fast enough.
