Judy knew fully well that the White family had deep ties with Grovis. In Metroville, they were one of the most. powerful families around. If Olivia married Eliot, it’d be nothing but good news for them.
“I see, Grandma. I know how important this is, and I won’t mess it up. Plus, Eliot really treats me well. Olivia’s face lit up at the mention of Eliot’s name.
She added, “But Grandma, the White family is wealthy. If I have nothing under my name, I’ll probably have no say in their family.”
Judy nodded. “You’re absolutely right. Your marriage to the White family is a blessing for all of us. That company Sophia runs… I’ll make sure it’s yours, okay?”
Judy had been eyeing Sophia’s company for a while.
“Thank you, Grandma, Olivia smiled. She knew the truth that Blackwood Corporation was practically running on fumes. The only valuable asset they had left was Sophia’s business.
Judy’s cloudy eyes gleamed with calculation. She thought mercilessly, ‘Sophia and her children need to disappear. As long as they’re alive, I’ll never feel truly at ease.
After returning to her room, Judy made a call and ordered, “I don’t care what it costs. Just get it done. Kill them all. I never want to see them again.”
Jusy’s face twisted with venom as she spoke. Sophia and her children were a thorn in her side, and she wasn’t about to tolerate it any longer.
She thought with hatred, “So what if Luna’s strong? How strong could she possibly be? I’ll make sure she’s wiped out before she even knows what hit her.
That evening, Sophia came home and made dinner for Luna and Ethan. She always made time to cook for Ethan, no matter how busy work got.
Now that Luna was back, she doubled down on her efforts. She wanted to give the children the best she could, to make up for the past.
After dinner, Ethan curled up on the couch playing video games while Luna helped Sophia do the dishes.
“Luna, about Eliot…” Sophia said hesitantly. She wasn’t sure how to bring it up. She knew Luna used to like Eliot, but now, he was about to get engaged to Olivia.
Luna didn’t even look up at the name. Her silence made Sophia even more worried. Sophia knew her daughter too well. Even if Luna was hurting, she wouldn’t show it.
Sophia slipped off her gloves and gently placed a hand on Luna’s shoulder. “Sweetheart, you’re still young. Trust me, you’ll meet someone who truly loves you.”

To Sophia, Luna was so incredible that only the most perfect man in the world could ever be worthy of her.
I’m fine, Mom. I don’t have feelings for Eliot,” Luna replied calmly.
“Alright, that’s good.” Sophia didn’t push it any further.
Eliot and Olivia’s engagement party was scheduled for the next day. Olivia had even sent them an invitation, If they didn’t show up, Judy would only get more aggressive. But if they did go, Judy still might not let them off easily.
Sophia asked gently, “The ceremony’s tomorrow, Do you want to go? If you’d rather not, we can skip it.” She totally respected Luna’s thoughts and wouldn’t want to force her into something she wouldn’t want to do.
“Sure, why not?” Luna answered without hesitation. She had spent the past two days focusing on her family. She hadn’t had the time to pay Judy a visit yet.
Since it was such a special day for Olivia and Eliot, of course, Luna had to bring a special gift to celebrate.
