Lama hadn’t even fired yet, but Diana had already wet herself. Years of dirty deeds had finally caught up with her, and terror stripped her bare.
“Ms. Luna Blackwood, I’ll talk. I’ll tell you everything. It was Dylan who ordered it all, Diana babbled, shaking
“Diana, what nonsense are you spouting? Ethan wandered off on his own. This has nothing to do with Dylan, Judy snapped, her eyes bulging with fury.
But Diana was too scared to lie now. She added, “Ms. Luna Blackwood, I swear it’s the truth. And five years ago, your father’s car accident was arranged by him too.”
With her life on the line, Diana no longer cared about loyalty. All she wanted was to distance herself from the
mess.
Sophia murmured under her breath. “So it really was Dylan. Ever since her husband died, she had chased the truth, convinced Donald’s accident didn’t add up. However, she didn’t dig up the truth.
At that moment, Dylan was wheeled into the hall. The second he spotted Luna, he exploded, “You bitch. You crippled me and still dare show your face here? Mom, make sure not to let her get away with this.”
His eyes burned with hatred. He thought, That bitch ruined my whole life. How am I supposed to enjoy my life with women?”
“Stop it, Dylan.” Judy’s heart sank. Of all times, Dylan had chosen to show up now, when Luna was raging. He was walking straight into the fire.
Everyone’s silence unsettled Dylan. He asked, “Mom, what are you all standing around for? You better get revenge for me. Don’t let this bitch leave alive.”
“You bastard! Donald always cared about you. How could you scheme a car crash against him? Damn, I’m gonna kill you,” Sophia snapped.
For years, Sophia had been graceful. But hearing Dylan’s name tied to her husband’s death broke something in her. She lunged at Dylan, her fists flying wildly.
Dylan had already been disabled by Luna. Even faced with a woman like Sophia, he had no strength left to fight back.
“Bitch, who do you think you are? You must have a death wish,” he roared while Sophia pummeled him.
“Mom, what’s wrong with you guys? How can you just stand there while this crazy woman attacks me?” Dylan shouted at the silent room while being punched by Sophia.
But no one moved. With Luna there, no one dared to help him. Even breathing too loudly felt dangerous.
“Sophia, stop. Are you trying to kill Dylan?” Judy screamed, too afraid to confront Luna but bold enough to bark at Sophia.
Judy’s words barely left her mouth before Luna fired a shot at the floor by her feet.

The sharp crack of the gun echoed through the hall. People shrieked, panic rising like a wave.
Judy herself froze, speechless with fear.

“So damn noisy.” Luna complained, sweeping the room with a cold gaze. In her mind, those people around were all accomplices. If it weren’t for them, her family could have lived a happy life.
Because of those three casual words from Luna, the hall instantly fell silent.
Every gaze on Luna was filled with dread, as if staring at death itself. Everyone knew one wrong move, and Luna would fire without a second thought.
Sophia collapsed to the floor, exhausted after pummeling Dylan.
Eliot finally spoke, “Luna, how far are you going to take this? Even if you’re strong, even if Dylan really did something unforgivable, you can’t just hand out punishment yourself. You can’t….
Luna sneered, cutting Judy off. She thought, ‘Eliot, even now, you’re trying to lecture me on how to behave?”
Luna turned her gaze back to Dylan. “Five years ago, how did you stage that crash? And earlier, how did you sell Ethan to Penumbra Group? I’m giving you a chance to come clean. Don’t let me down.”
Her eyes glinted with something so cold that it made the air feel heavy. Dylan froze and thought, Wait, weren’t all these things Mom told me to do? How is it suddenly all on me?‘
“Mom… Dylan looked at Judy, confused. His hands had been drenched in blood just to win the Blackwood name. But now, this man who had done so much evil was trembling.
Judy spoke up, “Luna, all of this is just your guesswork. Do you even have proof?”
She thought, ‘No way. I can’t let Luna drag us down the path. Donald’s accident was ruled an accident years ago. After five years, she’ll never find evidence!
Luna let out a cold laugh again, clearly not buying Judy’s words.
You–Judy choked, her pride burning. No one had ever humiliated her like this. She wanted nothing more than to tear Luna apart, but she didn’t have the strength.
Just then, the Metroville Security Force arrived. Seeing the captain at the door, Judy lit up with hope.
“Captain, thank goodness you’re here. You have to get justice for us. That brat attacked our whole family,” Judy pleaded with tears.
The Blackwoods all rallied, relieved to see Mark Stone. He was young and capable, and they all believed that he would take their side.
Mark only arrived here with his men after getting an order. He walked in calmly, scanning the scene before stopping in front of Dylan. “Are you Dylan Blackwood? We already have solid evidence of your crimes. You’ll need to come with us.
“You have the right to remain silent, but everything you say can and will be used against you.”

The next moment, Mark snapped handcuffs on Dylan.
Dylan’s jaw dropped. He had expected Mark to defend him, not arrest him.

“Captain, you’ve got the wrong guy. You’re accusing me of crimes? Where’s your proof?” Dylan shouted.
Mark ignored him and handed him over to his men.
Noticing that Sophia’s condition was worsening, Luna didn’t want to waste another second here. She turned to Mark and said, “The rest is yours. Don’t let me down.”
“Ms. Blackwood, you have my word. I won’t fail you,” Mark replied, his voice filled with respect.
The Blackwoods went pale, despair written all over their faces. They thought, ‘Did Luna bribe the captain?”
With Mark in control now, Luna’s urgency eased. She walked over, gently helping Sophia up and saying, “Mom, let me take you home.”
The bloodlust around Luna suddenly vanished when she spoke to Sophia, as if the reaper from moments ago had never existed.
