Chapter 8
“Leave?” Dylan’s voice dripped with venom. “Sophia, are you really that naive? You think I’m gonna let you all walk out of here today?”
There was murder in his eyes. For the company Sophia held, he wasn’t letting a single one of them go.
Sophia clutched Ethan tightly and bolted out the door. But after a few steps, she realized that Luna hadn’t followed
She put Ethan down at the top of the stairwell and said, “Ethan, my sweetheart. Run. Don’t come back, no matter what. You hear me?”
Five years ago, Sophia failed to protect her daughter. That guilt had haunted her every day since. There was no way she would let history repeat itself. No matter what happened tonight, she was determined to stay by Luna’s side.
“But Mom. I wanna stay with you and Luna. We’re a family. We should be together forever,” Ethan said stubbornly. He was too young to understand the danger but old enough to feel it.
“Ethan, be a good boy. I said run. Now go,” she shouted, forcing herself to be harsh. Then she turned back inside and slammed the door.
When Dylan saw Sophia return, he laughed, “Changed your mind, huh? My offer still stands. You let me have a little fun, and maybe I’ll let you live.”
“You” Sophia’s whole body trembled with fury. Her blood was boiling.
Luna had really had enough of this. She didn’t want to expose this side of herself in front of her mom and brother. But Dylan was begging for it..
“No more talking. Come at me, Luna said, curling a finger at Dylan.
As a Four–Star Martial Artist, Dylan wasn’t used to being taunted, especially not by someone he thought was beneath him.
“Fine. You wanna die, huh? I’ll make it quick, Dylan snorted.
He charged straight at Luna, throwing all his strength into the attack. Tonight, he had come ready to kill. And now, Luria just walked straight into his hands. He’d make sure this whole family joined Donald in the afterlife.
But no matter how fierce his attacks were, in front of Luna, he looked like nothing more than a fool. Years of being pampered by his mother, Judy, had dulled his edge. He looked dangerous, but it was actually all for show.
The next moment, the sound of bone snapping rang through the room.
“Luna,” Sophia cried out, panic shooting through her chest. But when she saw Dylan on the floor, her eyes widened even more.
Then, Luna broke Dylan’s other arm without missing a beat.

Sophia had never seen her daughter like this before. Luna now looked like a grim reaper in human form- fierce, merciless, leaving not even a shred of mercy behind.
“Ahh!” Dylan screamed. Both of his arms were shattered. The pain was overwhelming.
His skin went pale as he stared at Luna in terror. He wondered, ‘Is this really the same Luna from five years ago? I’m a Four–Star Martial Artist, and she’s making this look easy. Just how far has she come?‘
Luna calmly rolled her wrists and began walking toward him, slow and steady. She demanded in an icy tone, “You sold Ethan to Penumbra Group, didn’t you?”
Dylan instinctively backed up, but it was no use. Luna brought her foot down hard on his shin.
The sound of bone cracking echoed again. This time, Dylan couldn’t even scream.
Luna wasn’t just beating him–she was dismantling him. It was a complete and total domination. Dylan couldn’t compare with Luna in power or in brutality.
