“However, after what Samuel did last time, we lost a lot of VIP customers. They all said that our clothes were too flashy and impractical, collectively made a big hoo–ha and wanted a refund.” Bailey’s face showed distress when she mentioned this. 

After all, she was the one in charge of this boutique and felt sorry for her good friend when the sales figure dipped. 

Ash waved her hand and behaved like a big shot. Dream Couture isn’t the business she relied on to support her family but was just a hobby. Moreover, it was a good thing that those despicable customers were gone. 

Having those customers would lower the status of the shop, anyway. If it was not for the money, people like Samuel would never have been allowed to enter. 

“It is fine. It is not a big deal to have to find new clients. Once the new products are out, our sales will not stay low but will only increase greatly. Don’t worry.” Ash patted Bailey’s shoulder and sat on the sofa before she let out a yawn. 

It was almost morning when she finished the last draft. In order to keep what she had done a secret, she got up to have breakfast with Brooke, despite having only slept for less than two hours. 

“Do you mind taking some pictures? Recently, a few big spenders wanted to see our clothes being modeled before buying them, but they were not satisfied with the pictures taken previously. Why don’t you give it a try?” 

Bailey saw a golden opportunity. She was so exploitative that even her boss couldn’t escape from her ploy. 

Ash shook her head and lowered her eyelids. She felt dizzy. “Stop tormenting me. You had me creating designs and now, you want me to model the clothes? I am like doing a job that is usually done by a team.” 

“The customers said that if we can provide the pictures, and if they like it, they are going to pay us three times the original price.” Bailey shot up her three fingers as she gave an extremely tempting reason. 

In an instant, Ash stood up from the sofa and revealed the widest smile she ever had, almost showing all her teeth. “Alright, Ms. Field. Show me where we are going to do it.” 

‘This is so Ash. Bailey thought. 

Ash was still the same old Ash. She had not changed a bit. 

“Ash, you are now the daughter of the Turner family. Can we not be so money–minded? It is not like the Turner family needed your money.” Bailey sarcastically commented. 

Ash clicked her tongue softly. “This is what you do not understand. Even though the Turner family is rich and is still willing to give me money, this is different from the money I make myself. Besides, who would say no to money? Hey, it is three times the price we are talking about here. If all we need is to take a few more pictures, I am on for that. 

“You will get half of what we make from this deal. Take it as your cut for being the photographer.” 

Bailey nodded in satisfaction. She quickly took the camera and bent down. “Alright, our most respectful Ms. Turner, come this way and do watch your steps on this uber–flat ground.” Bailey put out a welcome gesture. 

Money talks. It indeed could make everything work. 

With money, even walking on flat ground, someone would be concerned if one was going to trip and fall. 

Ash could not help but laugh when she saw the speed at which her friend’s attitude changed. “Thank you for waiting, my dear friend. You should have said that earlier. If you had done so, I would have already given you the half. Who knows? We would probably already have the photos taken.” 

“Hey, I am just being extremely dedicated to my work and could not care less about the money. Now, your hand please,

ma’am.” Bailey reached out her hand like a lady–in–waiting to hold Ash’s and walked the latter toward the dressing room.
