Alison almost fainted with anger in the end. 

Fortunately, Ash still had a shred of conscience. She stopped torturing her and handed her over to the new project team’s assistant to familiarize herself with the work. 

William Mallin came to the company at this time. 

His appearance was sudden, in fact Ash hadn’t noticed the message on her phone. [Boss, I’m near Funtime Games, coming to see you.]

Ash was taken aback when she saw him. The two hadn’t met since the Riverstone’s Commercial Area matter was settled. Ash had been so busy that she hadn’t had time to care about Shadow Ventures.

Ash had always trusted William. That was why she was so relieved to hand over so much work to him.

Ash looked down at the proposal that had just been presented. “If you can’t handle something, remember to tell me in time. Don’t carry it all by yourself. 

“I’ll leave everything at Shadow Ventures to you.” 

William didn’t seem to agree with this proposal, though it was beneficial to him. “Boss, I’m just helping you look after the company. Shadow Ventures will always be yours. Are you ready… to devote yourself to Funtime Games?” 

Ash put down the documents, leaned back, and pinched the bridge of her nose. “You could say that. It will take at least a year for Funtime Games to get on the right track, and after that, there are still many companies under the Turner family that need to be taken care of. 

“Don’t think of me as a god, I’m just your boss, and my energy is limited. I want to go out for a while after I’m done with Funtime Games.” 

In all these years, Ash had done so much, always learning, always improving, always moving forward. She had gradually forgotten what she really wanted and what her goal was in her struggle. 

But now she had it. She wanted to spend a year finishing everything that needed to be done, getting Brooke’s body in good shape, and taking her parents on a trip around the world. 

Actually, Ash had never felt that she longed for love when she was in the Moreno family. After returning to the Turner family, she realized that she also needed love and that she was not as strong as she thought she was. 

William’s eyes dimmed slightly, and his heart was filled with mixed emotions. He hoped that Ash could live a happy and blissful life, but after she made that choice, it was as if she was drifting further and further away from him.

“Why are you in such a hurry to leave? It’s rare for you to come here/Let’s have lunch together. The food in the company cafeteria is pretty good.” Ash spoke up and persuaded him to stay. 

Because she asked him to stay, he did. After all, he was just worried about disturbing them, but since Ash said it was fine, he stayed. 

William sat down again. As Calvert walked into the office, he saw the two of them chatting happily with smiles on their faces. 

For some reason, Calvert felt a little uncomfortable. 

It turned out the assistant asked him to wait because there was another man in the office. 

“If you are busy, I’ll wait for you in the meeting room.” Calvert was obviously reluctant to stay in the same room with

The implication was that either William would leave or he would not speak. 

“Okay.” Ash was speechless. She glanced at William. “Then wait for me in the lounge. We’ll have lunch after we’re done here.” 

Calvert’s face darkened a little when he heard this. His eyes were grave and deep. “Our work will take a long time.” 

“It’s okay, I can wait.” William smiled faintly.
