Ash leaned against the car, sensing the ambiguity in her words. “I don’t quite understand what you mean. Didn’t you start this conversation? If you didn’t want to talk, you could have just said nothing. Why did you have to open your mouth?” 

I can’t be bothered with you.” Alison had already lost the upper hand, and to continue would only make her lose even more miserably. She glared at Ash fiercely and got into the car.
