Since her vision was blurry, she stopped her hand mid–air when she was about to deep–fry a chicken and looked at him silently. Calvert moved quickly and helped her without panicking. 

“Do you cook at home on weekdays?” Sofia saw this and didn’t worry about Ash’s meals in the future. His cooking skills were quite good. 

Calvert nodded. “I used to cook for myself when studying abroad, but now I rarely do it because I have maids at home.” 

Sofia nodded. Seeing Calvert’s unique noble temperament, she knew he had many servants in his house. “How many siblings do you have, Dear?”

Calvert remained calm. He rolled his sleeves up and took some plates. “No, grandma was teaching me how to make savory dishes so I could prepare dinner.” 

“Jewel, Calvert’s skills are quite decent. Although he can only make desserts, he is a quick learner. You need to step up your game to be at his level.” 

Ash was dissatisfied and hugged Sofia’s shoulder, “Grandma, who is your grandchild? Why are you cornering me? You just met him, yet you’ve become so close. I can cook, alright.”

Ash felt awkward because Sofia was roasting her before Calvert. She coughed. “Grandma, I’m not a child anymore. Stop treating me like a child.” 

After losing her face, Ash took the dishes to the table. The three of them sat together at the dining table. They looked warm and harmonious. 

Sofia took some portions for Ash and Calvert. Their plates were piled up with food, but Sofia’s plate remained empty. 

Hence, Ash and Calvert took some dishes, put them on Sofia’s plate, and said in unison, “Grandma, you need to eat.” 

When the words came out, they exchanged gazes and smiled. Although Sofia’s vision was blurry, the intimate scene before her was real, and her uneasy heart was finally at ease. 

After dinner, Ash sent Calvert away and went downstairs. She hesitated and thanked him. 

“Thank you for today. Thank you for making my grandma happy, and thank you for taking care of her.” Ash couldn’t express how grateful she was.

It was a humble dinner but filled with chats and laughter. The situation was peaceful, and Ash’s heart hadn’t felt such warmth in a long time. 

Ash was happy, and there were too many emotions in her bright eyes. “Anyway, thank you for taking the time to accompany me and my grandma to dinner today. 

Ash realized something and added, “And I apologize if I say thank you quite often. It’s a trait. You don’t need to care.” 

Then, she remembered another thing, and her expression became serious. In addition, I heard that another large company is also preparing a Triple–A Game, which may be the same type as us, so we’d better speed up the process. We need to encourage our team to release the game faster.
