“Ms. Johnson, please!”
With a bit of time left for the contestants to prepare, Byron quickly gestured for Emily to join him in the ear
Emily’s eyes were locked on Byron’s driver’s seat, her gaze intense. “Get out.”
“What?”
Byron was momentarily confused. “What?”
He had a bewildered look on his face.
One of the sidekicks chimed in, “Mr. Reyes, I think Ms. Johnson wants to sit in the driver’s seat, maybe she wants to feel your steering wheel!
Colt tentatively suggested.
Emily gave Colt an approving glance. “That’s right!”
Encouraged by Emily’s look, Colt eagerly moved forward to pull the stunned Byron out of the car.
Byron shot Colt a glare but obediently got out of the car.
“Ms. Johnson, you can touch it, but don’t mess around. If you’re interested in learning, I can find a chance to teach you. If you want to feel the thrill of speed, you can sit in the passenger seat and still experience it.”
Byron explained as he helped Emily into the car.
As soon as Emily touched the steering wheel, her whole demeanor changed. Her eyes became sharp, and every move she made on the wheel was filled with excitement, as if her fighting spirit was boiling over.
“Byron, this time, I’m definitely going to beat you.”
At that moment, Finn walked over with a few of his followers.
It was clear that the first race was a showdown between Finn and Byron.
Seeing Byron standing by the car, seemingly dawdling, Finn couldn’t help but mock him.
He glanced disdainfully at the person in the driver’s seat and sneered, “Bringing a woman to the race? How do you expect to win… Emily,
is that you?”
Finn was taken aback when he recognized Emily in the car.
He hadn’t been involved in family matters recently because he had just returned from a few races abroad. He hadn’t expected the usually obedient Emily to show up at such an event.

“How did you get mixed up with Byron? Finn was unaware of the trouble Byron had faced at Emily’s hands.
Of course, in his eyes, Byron was nothing special.

Byron frowned. “Hey, Finn, what do you mean by that? Am I that bad? Watch your words. If you make my leader dislike me, don’t blame me for getting angry!”
“Leader? Who?”
Finn was still confused about who Byron was referring to.
Byron pulled Emily closer. “See? This is my leader. Remember to be polite to Ms. Johnson.”
At that moment, Bianca and James also arrived.
James wasn’t participating in this race, but Bianca had heard that Finn was racing and came to support him.
She had also heard Byron’s name announced, so she wasn’t surprised to see Emily here.
“Finn, I knew you’d be here. Good luck.”
Bianca cheerfully ran over and linked arms with Finn, giving Emily a challenging look.
“Finn, Emily came with Byron. She probably hasn’t been here before and wants to see what it’s like. But when you and Byron race, I wonder who Emily will cheer for?”
Bianca’s words were meant to put Emily in a difficult position, forcing her to choose sides and inevitably offend someone.
Finn sneered. “Who cares about her support? The Johnson family doesn’t need someone so ungrateful.”
Byron laughed.
Finn frowned at Byron. “What’s so funny? You don’t know Emily. Whoever she’s with is doomed. She’s a troublemaker. Do you think you’ve struck gold?”
‘Shut up!”
Byron was furious. “Ms. Johnson will obviously cheer for me. You’re just bitter because you can’t have her. Say one more bad word about Ms. Johnson, and you’ll regret it.”
“Emily, Byron and Finn are fighting over you. You should say something. Or do you enjoy this kind of attention? That’s not a good mindset.”
Bianca urged.
“Shut up!” Byron defended Emily, glaring at Bianca. “If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be arguing!”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I just don’t want Finn and Byron to be upset. Friendship comes first, competition second. This conflict might
affect the race.”

Bianca tried to sound noble.
Finn immediately said, “You can defend Emily all you want, but why take it out on Bianca? She’s just trying to help.”
He sneered at Emily. “Emily, seeing Byron wrapped around your finger and misunderstanding Bianca, are you proud of yourself?”
“First race drivers, five minutes to get ready…”
The announcement interrupted them.
Finn glared at Emily. “We’ll settle this later!”
He pulled Bianca away.
James suddenly spoke up. “Finn, let me race for you!”
Everyone turned to look at him.
James was a top racer among his peers, though not quite at QS’s level. His participation would be like cheating.
He couldn’t bear the sight of Emily with Byron, even if it meant pushing her further away.
Bianca was surprised but didn’t object, seeing an opportunity to embarrass Emily and Byron.
Finn was about to agree when Colt protested. “Mr. Smith, this isn’t fair. Switching racers last minute, especially targeting Mr. Reyes.”
Colt saw James’s participation as an unfair advantage.
But Finn, seeing Colt’s reaction, was even more convinced.
“Alright, James, here you go, show Byron who’s boss. Let’s see if he dares to be cocky around us again.”
Finn laughed.
James raised an eyebrow. “What? Scared? I thought you were tougher than this. If you can’t handle it, just forfeit.”
Byron clenched his fists, veins bulging.
He was about to speak when Emily cut in.
“Alright!”
