‘Hey Bianca, how’d it go?” 

Bianca was already driving back to the Johnson Villa when her phone rang. 

The Johnson family was on pins and needles, waiting for news. 

Even though Bianca was annoyed, she had to play nice. “James is out of the country, so I talked to Mr. Smith. He said he’d find someone 

to help, but I need to meet this person first.” 

She initially thought about telling Eli about Knox. But then she decided to keep Knox as a backup. Her family was selfish, always looking 

out for themselves. She had to be cautious, or she’d end up being their scapegoat. 

“Great, great. I knew you could handle it, Bianca. You’re always so dependable,” Eli said, finally exhaling in relief. 

Bianca smirked, ready to say something…. 

Suddenly, there was a deafening crash. 

A huge truck slammed into the side of her car. Pain shot through her lower abdomen. Instinctively, she clutched her stomach. 

Something wet was trickling down. Dizzy, Bianca reached down and felt it. 

Blood! 

“No, my baby…” 

Her face went ashen, panic rising. But the dizziness took over, and she blacked out. 

When she came to, she saw a white ceiling and crisp white sheets. 

Realizing she was in a hospital, Bianca’s first instinct was to touch her stomach. “My baby…” 

A nurse hurried in, noticing Bianca’s distress. “Please stay calm, ma’am. You had a miscarriage. It’s important to focus on your recovery. You can try for another baby later.” 

Bianca had feared the worst, but hearing it confirmed still shattered her. Losing this baby meant her last tie to James was gone. 

The nurse expected a stronger reaction and was surprised when Blanca just went silent. Sometimes, it was more worrisome when 

emotions were held in. 

“Ma’am, try to stay positive…”

Chapter 195 

“Leave me alone!” Bianca snapped, turning away and pulling the blanket over her face. 

Not wanting to upset her further, the nurse reminded her to use the call button if she needed anything and left the room. 

Bianca sat up. She couldn’t count on the Smith family. Before they found out about her miscarriage, she needed to secure some advantages for herself. Even if she and James were finished, she’d make sure he felt guilty. 

She reached for her phone to make a call, but found it shattered on the bedside table. She remembered the accident and wondered if the 

Johnson family had realized something was wrong. 

For now, she had to wait. Or maybe she could ask the nurse to borrow a phone to make her call home. 

Meanwhile, Eli was starting to worry. He called the driver, but the driver was seriously injured and still unconscious. Eli had no choice but 

to check if there had been any accidents on Bianca’s route home. 

Emily, on the other hand, was completely detached from the Johnson family’s drama. Ever since she cut ties with them, she felt like a 

weight had been lifted off her shoulders. 

Just then, she got a call from Floyd. 

“Hey, Floyd, what’s up?” 

“Emily, I’ve got a tough case and really need your help,” Floyd said, sounding a bit desperate. 

The patient was a friend with a significant background, and Floyd had always been there for Emily, providing rare herbs whenever she 

needed them. She wasn’t about to turn him down now. 

“I’m free. Just give me the address, and I’ll head over.” 

Relieved, Floyd quickly gave her the hospital address. 

Emily made her way straight to the hospital room. 

Floyd was waiting for her at the door. “Thanks for coming. The patient is a friend of mine, and I couldn’t say no.” 

There were bodyguards at the door, signaling the patient’s high status. If Emily had come alone, they might have stopped her, but with Floyd, the guards respectfully let them in. 

To her surprise, Emily saw Mason. 

“Mason, I brought the doctor. She’s very skilled and will take good care of you,” Floyd said with a smile. 

“You?” Mason frowned, clearly taken aback to see Emily,

Emily nodded. She could tell Mason didn’t think much of her. If she were really Daniel’s girlfriend, his attitude would have hurt. But she was just playing a role and could understand his perspective. The Smith family was prestigious, and Daniel was powerful. Her past and 

status didn’t match up. 

“Mr. Smith, I’m here at Mr. Ryan’s request to treat you,” Emily said calmly. 

Mason looked at Floyd. “Floyd, you must be joking. Isn’t she the lost Johnson daughter? I heard she was a scavenger before they found 

her. How can she treat me?” 

Prejudices can blind people to the truth. Floyd, having seen much of human nature, wasn’t easily fooled, especially when it came to 

something as serious as medical treatment. 

“Mason, what are you saying? Are you implying I’m senile? Let me tell you, don’t be rude to Emily. If it weren’t for our friendship, she wouldn’t be here. If you drive her away, not even God can help you.” 

Floyd was getting angry. Mason’s old–fashioned views were frustrating, especially since he was usually so shrewd. Maybe he was getting senile, or the illness was affecting his mind. 

“Fine, let’s see if you can really treat me. If you can’t, then you’re a fraud. And I won’t hide it from Daniel. Either admit you’re a fraud now or prove your skills!” Mason sneered at Emily. 

Emily looked at Mason and said, “Then I won’t treat you. As a doctor’s kind advice, take care of yourself, or your condition will worsen faster.”
