“Why is it always you?” 

Bianca heard the familiar voice and inwardly groaned,

“Emily, I know you don’t like me, but we’re family. We should stick up for each other in public. Why are you siding with this stranger just 

because he’s good–looking?” 

Bianca decided to strike first. 

Emily was so infuriated by Bianca’s blatant twisting of the truth that she laughed. 

Before she could respond, Knox spoke up. 

“You’re Emily’s sister? You don’t look like it. You’re unattractive and delusional, unlike Emily, who is both beautiful and kind–hearted. The way you accuse her doesn’t seem like how a family should act. I think it’s you who doesn’t like Emily and makes things difficult for her.” 

Knox knew Emily had a sister who bullied her. He had wanted to stand up for her before, but Emily had stopped him, valuing family ties 

too much. Now that Emily didn’t care about the Johnson family anymore, he didn’t hold back. 

The bystanders couldn’t help but chime in, “Yeah, my sister might complain about me at home, but she wouldn’t let anyone else talk bad about me in public. What kind of sister puts her sibling down like that?” 

“You’re dressed so provocatively, saying you like him is one thing, but those coy and seductive actions, only women understand how 

flirtatious they are.” 

“Isn’t there surveillance here? She claims it wasn’t intentional, so let’s check the footage.” 

Some people analyzed the situation, while others suggested checking the surveillance footage. 

Bianca, feeling guilty, naturally didn’t want that. She tried to recall if her fall looked convincing enough. Would it be obvious she did it on 

purpose? 

To avoid being exposed, she deflected, “No need for the footage. I’ll just accept my bad luck. I didn’t expect anything from you, nor did I ask for compensation. This dress is worth $100,000. If I had any ulterior motives, why would I ruin it myself and only ask for an apology?”

Bianca. Don’t ruin our appetite. I’ve already ordered, and I can’t cancel it.” 

Emily spoke confidently, having nothing to hide. 

Bianca’s eyes reddened, looking as if she wanted to say something but held back, glancing at Emily before quickly looking away. It made it 

seem like Emily bullied her more often. 

“Sir, are you hostile towards me because you know Emily and she spoke badly about me? But I haven’t done anything wrong. Why should I 

be treated like this? If you don’t apologize, I won’t leave.” 

Bianca bit her lip, stubbornly meeting Knox’s gaze. 

“Stop talking nonsense. Emily wouldn’t even mention you. Besides, with your looks, who’d remember you? I don’t even know you!” 

Knox was visibly annoyed and shot back immediately. 

Emily was taken aback by Knox’s harsh words; she’d never seen him this angry before. 

Knox felt his good image was being tarnished, all because of Bianca. His eyes turned cold, even showing a hint of menace. 

Bianca sensed it. She thought, how could a man harbor such strong feelings towards her unless Emily had spoken ill of her? 

Just as Bianca was about to say something, a voice called out. 

“Knox, you’re here too?” 

The voice’s owner quickly approached, greeting Knox, 

“Knox…” 

When Charles saw Emily, he couldn’t help but be surprised. 

He glanced between Emily and Knox, asking, “Knox, do you know Emily?” 

Knox, who usually avoided women, was dining with one. And Emily’s expression seemed a bit too intense. 

Charles wanted to shake his head, dismissing his thoughts. Emily was someone Daniel liked. If Knox liked her too, it would be a love 

triangle. 

Being caught in the middle, Charles would have a hard time choosing sides.

As Charles approached, Daniel followed at a leisurely pace. His strong presence made the onlookers part like he was walking on a red 

carpet. 

Daniel’s gaze ignored everyone else, focusing solely on Emily. 

“What a coincidence, you’re here too?” 

Daniel smiled slightly. 

Emily was surprised to see Daniel, wondering if he had followed her. 

`Quite the coincidence!” Emily smiled back. 

Sensing the tension, Charles explained, “It’s probably fate. We were meeting someone to discuss something.” 

Emily’s expression remained unchanged, but she couldn’t help but inwardly scold herself for being so self–centered, thinking they were 

there for her. 

Bianca, feeling jealous, wondered why all the men were surrounding Emily. What made her so special? 

She decided to expose Emily’s true nature. 

“Mr. Smith, I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Emily came here specifically to dine with this gentleman and even argued with me for him.” 

Bianca wanted Daniel to question Knox’s importance to Emily. 

No man could tolerate his woman dining with another attractive man, especially someone like Daniel, who had a possessive nature. 

Even knowing Bianca was trying to stir up trouble, Daniel felt jealous. 

Knox again. 

He remembered Knox from the racing event, where Emily trusted him enough to use the car he prepared. 

Now they were dining together. 

As a man, Daniel could see Knox’s intentions towards Emily. He watched Knox warily. 

The tension between the two men was palpable, like a silent battle. 

Knox also noticed Daniel’s feelings for Emily. The two men locked eyes, and the air between them became thin. 

Emily sensed the tension and quickly intervened.

Emily’s words were meant to address the situation, but Daniel felt she was choosing Knox over him. 

Though nothing had changed, Emily felt Daniel’s gaze turn resentful, as if she had wronged him. 

She couldn’t help but feel like she indeed had.
