The pursuers quickly closed in on Emily and Daniel. The leader spoke coldly, his eyes filled with malice.

“Knox, I need your help. Daniel’s in trouble. I have to get him out of here immediately!” 

Emily quickly and concisely explained the situation to Knox.

Daniel’s gaze fell on the bleeding wounds on her arm.

He forced himself up, intending to move her to the bed and call his men to arrange for her to go to the hospital. 

But as soon as he moved, Emily woke up with a start. 

Seeing Daniel awake, her face lit up with joy. 

But when she saw him trying to get out of bed, her expression turned stern.

Emily avoided his gaze and said in a dry voice, “I’m fine. They’re just small wounds and have already scabbed over. You need to rest. I have to arrange Hayden’s situation and then get you back to the States. The acupuncture alone won’t keep 

the poison at bay for long. You need medication.”

Daniel was still worried, seeing her pale face.

“SQ, did you get out safely?” Zander asked urgently. 

“I ran into some trouble and didn’t leave with the others. Where are you now? How’s Hayden?” 

Emily replied concisely. 

“I’ll send you the address. Hayden is with me, and he’s fine.” 

“I’ll be there soon!” 

Emily felt relieved. That was good news.

She hung up and called the others to check on them. 

A voice answered, “SQ, Leopard is injured and unconscious. We’ve safely retreated and are heading to the hotel. 

“Good. I’ll pick up Zander and Hayden. If you get there first, wait for me. Can Leopard hold out?” 

Even though she had paid them, Emily hoped they would return safely. She was satisfied with their work and wanted to recruit them as loyal subordinates. 

“He lost a lot of blood, but I’ve stopped the bleeding. He can hold out for another half hour.” 

The voice reported after checking on Leopard. 

Emily understood, “Good, wait for me!” 

She was pressed for time. Knox’s situation would have to wait. She trusted his abilities and the reinforcements to get out 

safely. 

When Emily arrived at Zander’s place, she heard sharp screams from inside.
