Chapter 41

*Bianca, can you believe Emily had the guts to come back to school? I thought she’d hide out for a few days and then be too scared to show her face.”

Lily shook Bianca’s shoulder, mocking Emily.

Bianca frowned, looking worried. “Lily, don’t talk about Emily like that. Maybe she realized her mistake and found the courage to come back. I’m relieved. She’s been fighting with our family and hasn’t been home for days. We couldn’t reach her, and I’ve been really worried.”

Lily sighed. “Bianca, after everything she’s done to you, how can you still be so kind and care about her?”

‘She’s my sister. Blood ties can’t be severed,” Bianca said with a helpless smile.

“But she’s really not worth it. And, I didn’t finish yet-she’s back at school, but the teacher called her straight to the office. I heard she’s arguing with the teacher. Honestly, trash like her should be sent to the dump, not school. Being in the same school with her lowers our standards!”

Lily fumed.

Bianca’s eyes flashed, but she said, “How could this happen? I need to check on her. I can’t let Emily say something she can’t take back.”

Without waiting for Lily’s response, Bianca hurried to the teacher’s office.

*Bianca, wait up!” Lily called out, trying to catch up.

She knew how unreasonable Emily could be and didn’t want Bianca, who was kind-hearted but not in the best of health, to get upset.

She decided to find Ronnie. She knew Ronnie liked Bianca and would definitely help if he knew Bianca was being mistreated.

Lily turned and ran towards the boys’ dormitory.

Taking advantage of Lily not catching up, Bianca flashed a sinister smile and quickly dialed a number. After a brief conversation, she hung up and rushed to the teacher’s office.

Her anxious demeanor immediately drew attention and speculation. Some couldn’t help but follow her.

“Ms. Chambers, I’m here to apologize on Emily’s behalf. If she said anything inappropriate, please consider her young age and don’t hold it against her.”

Bianca felt the tension in the room as soon as she entered, secretly pleased. She immediately apologized and then turned to Emily, “Emily, this is our teacher. You should respect them and not argue. Hurry, apologize to the teacher.”

Emily was surprised to see Bianca. She hadn’t expected Bianca to come and immediately blame her without understanding the situation. She felt disgusted as Bianca touched her hand and instinctively shook it off.

Bianca fell to the ground, looking fragile.

“Bianca!” Ronnie, who had rushed over after hearing from Lily that Emily was bullying Bianca, saw Emily push Bianca and hurried to help her up. “Bianca, are you okay?”

Bianca shook her head. “Ronnie, I’m fine. It’s not Emily’s fault.”

Ronnie felt even more protective of her. Even now, she was defending Emily. “Bianca, you’re too kind. Some people don’t deserve it. Look at her-does she show any gratitude or remorse?”

“Bianca, kindness should have some edge!” Ronnie said, both affectionate and frustrated.

His gentle demeanor turned fierce as he looked at Emily. “Emily, why can’t you learn from Bianca? Even a fraction of her goodness would prevent you from doing such vile things. It’s hard to believe you’re sisters. You’re so malicious. Apologize to Bianca now.”

Chapter 41

Emily studied Ronnie. “So, you’re Ronnie?”

He was one of Bianca’s admirers. Even after Bianca married James in her past life, some couldn’t forget her. Emily had heard that several men got drunk on Bianca’s wedding night, calling her name.

Ronnie knew his appeal. He felt disgusted as Emily stared at him. He didn’t like malicious women like her. “Yeah, that’s me. So what? You’re not even worth a strand of Bianca’s hair. Normally, I wouldn’t waste my time on you!” Ronnie sneered.

He was one of Bianca’s admirers, but wasn’t considered because of his average family background. In their social circle, he was at the bottom. His only assets were his good looks and a bit of talent in computers, but just a bit.

Emily wasn’t impressed. “I haven’t sought you out, but here you are. Perfect!” Emily said coolly.

Ronnie frowned, and Bianca was puzzled. What did Emily mean?

Lily couldn’t help but scoff. “Emily, are you jealous of how well Ronnie treats Bianca? Did you secretly look him up, hoping to meet him? Trash like you, picked from the dump, Ronnie would be disgusted to even glance at you.”

Emily’s gaze silenced Lily. “Hanging out with Bianca too long has fried your brain?” Emily mocked.

As Lily realized she’d been insulted and was about to retort, Emily turned to Lavinia. “Ms. Chambers, while my teacher isn’t here yet, the culprit is. You still have a chance to decide.”

“Emily, how can you talk to Ms. Chambers like that? It sounds like a threat. Who have you been hanging out with these days? Your words are always sharp. Even if you’re mad at me, have to say something.”

Bianca scolded, then quickly apologized to Lavinia. “Ms. Chambers, Emily’s been fighting with her family and hasn’t been home. She’s probably been misled by bad influences. Please don’t hold it against her. I’ll make sure she changes her ways.”

Even now, she hadn’t given up on Emily. To everyone, Bianca seemed like a pure, kind girl.

Ronnie’s eyes burned with admiration for her. He turned to Emily. “You’re so vile. No wonder you’ve been corrupted by outsiders. If it weren’t for Bianca, you’d have been expelled long ago. Apologize to Bianca and promise to obey her from now on.”

As soon as Ronnie finished speaking, a powerful slap landed on his face, shocking everyone.

Ronnie, realizing what had happened, gritted his teeth. “How dare you hit me!”

Emily replied, “Yeah! I hit you! I haven’t even settled the score for the rumors you spread. How dare you lie so easily?”
