Violette, Sofia, and her cousin Atticus were there so that Liam wouldn’t be lonely.Â

Today, the sick puppies had been brought back. Biscuit and Cloudy, now healthy, were much more active. Liam liked them a lot and soon started playing with them.Â
Emily explained Liam’s background and her adoption to Violette and the others.Â
“From now on, he’s part of the family. Violette, treat him like a nephew. But I’ll need your help with taking care of him.”Â
Violette, knowing Emily had been briefly adopted by a scrap collector named Elijah, felt a surge of sympathy and gratitude.Â
“Emily, don’t worry, I’ll treat him like my own child.” Violette looked tenderly at Liam playing outside with Biscuit.Â
Then she asked what Emily wanted to eat, offering to cook for her.Â
“No need, Violette. I need to visit Mr. Smith next door. Don’t worry about dinner for me.”Â
Emily hadn’t forgotten her main task.Â
She wrote down the ingredients she needed for tonight and went to the neighboring villa.Â
“Ms. Johnson, you’re here. Come in!”Â
York immediately opened the door and welcomed Emily.Â
Daniel, even when sick, had many things that required his attention.Â
He was lounging on the sofa in a casual T–shirt, listening to several men in suits respectfully report something to him.Â
Despite his relaxed posture, his powerful presence drew all eyes to him.Â
Daniel didn’t seem to notice Emily’s arrival.Â
He lifted his eyelids slightly, his gaze intense and commanding. “That’s all for today. I want to see a new plan tomorrow!”Â
“Yes!”Â
The men visibly relaxed and quickly agreed.Â
They gathered their documents and left swiftly, as if chased by a beast.Â
Emily was surprised. Was Daniel really that intimidating?Â
Could he scare these executives so much, or was it that she had become bolder since her rebirth?Â
She shook off the thought.Â

Chapter 80Â
You’re here.Â
Daniel’s long lashes cast shadows over his eyes, making them look even more mysterious.Â
He spoke calmly, not surprised by her arrival.Â
“Yes, I need to check the surroundings, including your room and study. Is that okay?*Â
These were private and personal spaces, but they were also places where problems could be overlooked.Â
Daniel’s fingers curled slightly, but his face remained calm. “Of course.”Â
Only York knew that Daniel disliked others entering his private spaces.Â
Emily might really become Daniel’s future wife.Â

But he remembered the female doctor. Daniel had let her into his bathroom and even had a moment of intimacy, asking York to prepareÂ
clothes for her.Â
Daniel, who had previously avoided women, now had two female friends.Â
Could Daniel like both women at the same time?Â
If Daniel knew York’s thoughts, he would have shown him how terrifying his real anger could be.Â
“I’ll go upstairs to check.”Â
Emily nodded. As long as there were no objections, it was fine.Â
Just as she entered his room to inspect, James arrived.Â
“Daniel, I’m here to apologize for my mother. She was deceived and didn’t really intend to use the Smith family’s name for those actions!”Â
James bowed respectfully.Â
He had just returned from a business trip and learned that his mother had been caught using the Smith family’s name to raise funds for a business, only for her partner to run off with the money.Â
Daniel sat naturally on the sofa, legs crossed. Hearing James, he lifted his eyelids slightly, his powerful presence enough to intimidate James.Â
“Apology accepted. Don’t let it happen again. You can leave now! His light words made James freeze.Â
“Mr. Smith, I’ve checked upstairs. Everything’s fine…”Â
Emily came down and spoke to the people below.Â
