Ryan rolled his eyes so hard it looked like they might pop out. “Asher, why are you yelling at Ava? You’re the one who stormed in here like a maniac. That’s the real problem.”Â
He snorted, then flicked a look at the curtains. “Laurent, you done hiding yet?” He wanted to rile things up even more.Â
Asher stood frozen as someone stepped out from behind the curtain.Â
HisÂ
eyesÂ
drilled into the guy like he wanted to set him on fire.Â
Laurent didn’t flinch. He walked right up to him and said, completely serious, “Good afternoon,Â
Asher.”Â
Ava slapped her hand over her face. She wanted the earth to swallow her whole.Â
Before Asher could explode, another voice cut in.Â
Keith strolled out of the closet, casual as ever. “Don’t forget me, Asher. I’m here too.”Â
Ava stared at the ceiling like she was trying to astral project herself into space.Â
Asher’s whole face turned red. His neck looked like it was about to pop.Â
He pointed at them, furious. “What the hell is wrong with you people?! It’s broad daylight, and you’re all in my sister’s room?! You’d better back the hell off. She’s still young. Show her some d*mn respect!”Â
Turning sharply to Ava, he demanded, “Tell me. Where’s the last one? If all these idiots are here, Ethan’s probably hiding too.”Â
Ava stayed quiet. There was nothing she could say to make this look better.Â
AsherÂ
gave a bitter laugh. His eyes scanned the room until they stopped on the bathroom door. He marched over but froze with his hand hovering above the handle.Â
His chest was tight, and his hand trembled by his side.Â
Her voice cracked. “Asher…”Â
Before he could move, the door opened from inside. Ethan stood there, calm and collected. “I’m here.”Â
Asher turned to Ava, stunned. “This is what you’re into now?”Â

Ava’s face turned red, then pale, then red again. Her eyes went glassy in an instant.Â

Mason, still sprawled on the bed, chimed in lazily, “Asher, this is between husband and wife. Why are you butting in? You don’t get to judge her.”Â
That shut Asher right up. He swallowed hard, exhaling a long breath. His sister had a husband. She wasn’t a kid anymore. Maybe he was out of line.Â
He couldn’t even name what he felt. Something bitter sat in his chest, wrapped around a hollow kind of sadness. From the moment Ava joined the Morren family, he’d sworn he’d protect her, but she clearly didn’t need him now.Â
His gaze softened just a little as he looked at her. “Ava, you’re still young. You haven’t seen much of the world yet. I only acted like this because I was scared you’d get hurt. From now on, I won’t get involved in your personal stuff.Â
“But if any of them hurt you, even just once, we’ll always be right here for you. No matter what.”Â
He turned to the guys, his face stone cold. “Let her rest. All of you. Get out.”Â
Behind the curtain, Grace finished recording every second on her Holoband. Her lip curled in disgust. So, this was the girl everyone said was elegant and classy? What a joke. Behind closed doors, she was just a pro at playing guys.Â
Sure, she had a pretty face, but she knew exactly how to use it.Â
She cropped a shot showing half of a guy’s face from the video and messaged her contact. ‘High–society heiress secretly hooking up with multiple men. One of them’s a major A–lister. Want it?‘Â
Even with a blur filter, it was obvious the guy was Ryan.Â
Within seconds, her contact texted back. ‘You got anything clearer?‘Â
‘I’ve got the full HD video, Grace replied. She tapped the screen with a smug smile. Her high cheekbones sharpened the look. “The girl’s from an old Capitol Planet bloodline. You in?‘Â
Capitol Planet elite? Don’t tell me this is Tylissa Clark or something. If it’s her, I’m out.‘Â
Grace finally exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for hours. ‘Not even close. Ava’s just some adopted tagalong they dragged back recently. That’s all I’ll say.‘Â
Ava, I begged you to let me stay near you, and you pushed me away. You and your precious Morren sister think you’re better than me. What a joke. You’ve got half a football team in your room and got busted by your own cousin. If this goes viral, it’ll break Stellar Network.Â

‘Trust me. Once this hits the net, you’ll make ten times that.’ She sent a few more frames from the video, just blurry enough to play it safe–but still obvious enough.Â
