Chapter 181 Going to Pluto
Just after closing the chat window with Laurent, Mason’s video call came through.

“Ava,” Mason called her name while tugging at the collar of his shirt. He stood up from his chair and walked toward the window, his gaze fixed on her the entire time.
“I want to confirm again. Are you really leaving tomorrow free for me?”
Ava nodded and said, “Yes, I’m free tomorrow.”
Mason reached out and tapped her face on the screen. “I’ll come pick you up earlier tomorrow morning. I’ve booked tickets to Pluto. We’ll go to Pluto tomorrow and come back the day after. Is that okay?”
“Pluto?” Ava was slightly surprised by his words. “That far away?”
“I was thinking that since neither the place where you grew up nor the Alayna Planet where you studied ever had snow. I want to take you to see it.”
Ava knew that Pluto had an extremely long winter, and even its summers were never very It was a hugely popular tourist destination, practically a world of ice.

Mason laughed. “Was I really that scary in your eyes back then?”
Ava thought about it momentarily before answering, “Yeah. When I first saw you, you were completely different from how you were at Elysian. You were like two different people. My senses told me you were dangerous, and your aura back then was aggressive, so I was really scared. You were the definition of well–dressed psycho. You had this faintly wicked air about you. All in all, I really felt you didn’t seem like a good person.”
“A well–dressed psycho?” Mason repeated the phrase, savoring it in his mind before raising an eyebrow and saying, “That’s actually quite a high–end term. I’ll take it as a compliment.”

Ava shook her head with a smile.
“That’s definitely not a compliment.”
“To me, it is. I didn’t expect I’d rank so high in your eyes! Not bad.”
Those few lines completely derailed Ava’s train of thought, and she forgot all about her earlier concerns over him taking her to Pluto.
Then, Mason asked again, “Do you know how to ski or skate?”
“Skating is fine, but I don’t know how to ski.”
“No problem. I’ll get you a coach when we get there. I believe you’ll pick it up quickly.”
After chatting a bit more, there came a knock on the door. Mason lifted his head toward the office entrance, irritation flashing across his face as he was being disturbed.
Noticing his side of the commotion, Ava quickly said, “Go and take care of your work first. I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye!” Then, she hung up the Holoband immediately.
Mason stared at the darkened screen and said irritably, “Come in!”
That evening at dinner, Ava informed her parents about her trip to Pluto. After dinner, when she returned to her room, she received a video call from Ryan. As she answered the call, the first thing she saw was Ryan’s face filling the screen.
As soon as he saw her pick up, he immediately called out, “Ava.”
Ava smiled and asked, “Did you finish work?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m guessing you worked especially hard today!”
“Why do you say that?” Ryan asked with amusement.
“Because your styling today is handsome! You should give your stylist an extra allowance.”
Ryan had been a little drained after a full day of work, and on top of that, Ava hadn’t answered his video call at noon, which had put him in a slightly bad mood. However, hearing her praise now instantly lifted his spirits.
“I’m not only handsome today. I’m handsome all the time.”

Ryan instantly lifted his head and shot Soren a glare.
The moment Soren was hit by that look, he hurried over to Ryan’s side and said to Ava, “Good evening, Ms. Morren. There’s nothing inconvenient right now.”
After learning that Ryan had not only gone to the company today but had also seriously worked, Soren breathed a sigh of relief.
