Ava’s hands were the first to make an appearance as she rested one hand on Jonathan’s arm in order to leave the hovercar gracefully. The morning sun landed on her, bathing her in a soft golden light. Her skin, which was as fair as porcelain, seemed to glow under the sun.Â
What a beauty, Dylan thought to himself. The Morren family had to be blessed. There were no other explanations for it. They had Jane, and now, it seemed they’d found themselves another lovely heiress to spoil.Â
Considering how calm high society was, the Morren family had definitely kept her existence tightly under wraps. After all, none of the prominent families had heard any word of Jonathan’s younger brother’s passing.Â
So, Dylan could already imagine the stir it would cause once the Morren family hosted a coming–of–age party for their recent addition.Â
His smile grew more genuine. At this point, he was starting to pity Ethan and Ryan’s luck. Not only did they have other competition as they weren’t her only matches, but they would also have to contend with several more suitors in the future.Â
Then again, that was their headache to deal with. He and his old bones were going to sit far, far away from the affairs of these hot–blooded youths.Â
“This is Mr. Brock and Mrs. Brock,” Jonathan said as they approached.Â
“Good day, Mr. Brock and Mrs. Brock.” Her voice was gentle and melodious. So far, her manners were impeccable. As for everything else… Well, they had time in the future to get a better judge of her character.Â
Elena clasped Ava’s hand warmly, her eyes crinkling with delight. “And you must be Ava. My, you’re such a beautiful girl.”Â
Then, she went on in jest. “Oh, how I envy you Morrens. Who else but your family could boast two such lovely heiresses? Your family’s really setting quite the example for the rest of us.”Â
Her compliments made Jonathan beam happily, causing his face to wrinkle further.Â
Meanwhile, Ryan stood frozen, staring at the woman before him. Hang on. Didn’t we have lunch with her the other day? That’s Ava?!Â
“Ethan,” he urgently whispered under his breath, nudging Ethan.Â
Ethan looked momentarily taken aback when he saw Ava. Nevertheless, he quickly regained his composure, smoothing out the shock from his face. It seemed that his suspicions had merit.Â

Although he was pleased to be right on the money, he couldn’t help but feel somewhat surprised at the thrill of happiness at the sight of her actually being his match.Â

Ava noticed two men standing not far away, but she couldn’t bring herself to look at them. It helped that she was currently facing Dylan and Elena, so she kept her eyes demurely lowered.Â
After a few polite exchanges, Elena suddenly said, “Oh, I almost forgot to introduce you to my sons. Ethan, Ryan, meet Ms. Ava Morren.”Â
Ethan was the first to approach them. Ava had her head lowered in what seemed to be bashfulness. She was very different from the bold young women he usually met. He’d met her twice so far, yet she had tried her best to become a wallflower both times..Â
“We meet again, Ms. Morren,” he said in a low, familiar voice. “I’m Ethan.”Â
Ava couldn’t help but notice that he sounded familiar. So, she raised her head to look. As expected, it really was the person she had in mind. Nonetheless, she couldn’t hide the look of surprise on her face when she saw him.Â
Compared to his composed older brother, Ryan’s expression was much more conflicted. “I’m Ryan,” he added awkwardly. “We’ve met before.”Â
Ava glanced at him again. They had indeed met in the past. At least now she knew that the celebrity Lianne was talking about was actually Ryan Brock.Â
To be fair, the brothers didn’t resemble each other overly much, aside from their hair and eye color. The elder, Ethan, took after their father with his sharper features and a steady air. Meanwhile, Ryan had inherited more of their mother’s gorgeous features.Â
“Hello,” Ava blurted before hastily looking away.Â
I’m so dead, she thought. This was an unprecedented level of humiliation right there. She’d literally just shared a meal with these two. She’d even sworn to herself that she’d never see them again after that. And yet what happened? They turned out to be her matched partners!Â
Elena looked between the three of them, utterly baffled. “Wait a minute. You’ve met? I thought you hadn’t even been introduced yet.”Â
Ethan explained calmly, “We happened to share a meal two days ago, but none of us knew each other’s identities at the time.”Â
Elena nearly burst into laughter when she heard his words. Then, she teased, “Well, if that’s not fate, then I don’t know what that is. I suppose there’s a reason why you guys were matched,Â
huh?”Â
Then, she turned to her husband with a grin. “What do you think, dear? Fate sure works in mysterious ways. Looks like no distance could keep those who are fated to be together apart.”Â

Elena had twelve sons and one daughter, and not a single one was married. Her eldest was already 58. It had gotten so bad that she had half–convinced herself that her sons were destined to remain single forever.Â
She never thought that her sons with Dylan would get themselves hitched first. Ryan himself was only 36! He was practically a child by their standards. None of her friends would ever believe her without proof.Â
“Well, it just goes to show that Dylan’s genes have clearly won the lottery. Out of all the men in the system, they’re the ones who’d been forced matched to Ms. Morren!” she exclaimed happily.Â
She was on a roll now, completely forgetting that the Morren family had come here hoping to cancel the match. To her, Ava’s position as her future daughter–in–law was set in stone.Â
Dylan chuckled and agreed warmly. “That’s because Ms. Morren is exceptional.”Â
