“Mr. Brock, Mr. Heiser, Major Caswell, Mr. Holcomb–this situation has caused you trouble, and for that I apologize. I take full responsibility. There will be no favoritism. Whatever must be done will be done,” Beckett apologized sincerely.

Mason scoffed. “So this is your wife? Your taste is questionable.”

Ethan’s expression remained solemn. “Mr. Reid, we accept your apology. As for Ms. Palmer, she will face the full consequences of the law. I suggest that Mr. Reid consider your own future.”

Beckett nodded and walked toward Jolene. His gaze was complicated. Any passion or tenderness that once existed between them had long since faded. The gentle, sweet woman he had married no longer existed- the person before him felt like a stranger.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened them again, all emotion had drained away. “Jolene, we’re getting a divorce. My lawyer will contact you to handle the details. I won’t shortchange you— everything you’re entitled to, you’ll receive. From now on, take care of yourself.”

The moment she heard those words, Jolene completely broke down. She rushed forward and clutched his waist tightly. “No! I don’t want a divorce! Beckett, I know I was wrong! I won’t mess around anymore–I swear! Please, just forgive me this once!

“Beckett, I’m begging you! Didn’t you say you wanted a child? Fine–I’ll give you one. We can have as many as you want. I’ll even give you a daughter! Please don’t leave me. I really know I was wrong,” she begged.

But no matter how desperately she begged, he coldly pried her hands away.

“I gave you chances. Once. Twice. Three times. More times than I can count. You fooled around outside, and I turned a blind eye–as long as it didn’t explode in my face, I let it slide. But this time? I won’t forgive you.

“A few years ago, when I said I wanted a child, you said you still wanted to enjoy yourself, that we could wait. I didn’t force you. But tell me, Jolene–what did you take me for?” He grabbed her by the throat. “The biggest regret of my life was letting you deceive me into marrying you. I thought you cared about me, even just a little. Turns out, I lost that gamble. Fine. I accept it

Beckett released his grip, and Jolene collapsed onto the floor, crumpling in a heap. He walked away without looking back.

As Jolene stared at his resolute retreating figure, true fear finally took hold. She cried hysterically. “I was wrong, Beckett! Come back! Please don’t leave me–dont abandon me!”

Among the remaining men who had been involved with her, three exchanged looks before stepping forward to announce their own divorces. They left without a second thought.

In the blink of an eye, only two men remained by her side.

Those last two looked pale and panicked. They stood helplessly with the people who could actually make decisions already gone, as if they had lost their backbone.

Ava watched everything unfold, her emotions tangled as she took in the sight of a family completely falling apart. “She’s finished. I don’t want to kick someone when they’re already down. Hand her over to the police. Let the law decide her fate.”

Keith smiled gently, his eyes curving slightly. “Alright–leave it to the police. I was worried you might be too soft–hearted to see this through.”

She shook her head. “I’m not a saint. If she did something wrong, then she deserves to be punished. Her husband divorcing her isn’t my responsibility, and being abandoned by everyone is the consequence of her own choices. It has nothing to do with me.”

Ryan shifted his gaze to a certain race car driver standing off to the side, doing his best to blend into the background. “Didn’t you say earlier that you liked her?”

Skyler’s face instantly went pale. “I’m sorry, Ms. Morren. I was forced into it. I had no other option, so I made a terrible choice. I truly regret it.”

If Ava had felt even the slightest hint of sympathy for him earlier, it vanished the moment he tried to shift the blame onto her.

“I don’t accept your apology,” she insisted coldly. “Mr. Steele and I have no personal grievances, yet you dragged me into this and tried to ruin my reputation. If an ordinary woman had been standing here today, a single sentence from you would have destroyed her.”

Her voice was sharp and unwavering. This man was no different from the rest.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Morren! I know I crossed the line. I’m willing to accept any punishment,” he declared.

Ava looked at him slowly. “You planned this carefully, didn’t you? You pushed my brother and me to the front to draw the fire for you. Did you really think everyone else was stupid?”

Skyler’s eyes filled with panic. “Ms. Morren…”

The sight of him–weak, helpless, and pretending to be innocent—made her skin crawl. A grown man wearing that expression was downright nauseating.

“Where do you think you’re looking?” Ryan snapped when he noticed Skyler’s gaze lingering on Ava. His temper flared instantly. “Keep staring, and I’ll rip your eyeballs out.”

Skyler was nothing more than Rank A male. His legs buckled under the crushing pressure of Ryan’s presence. He dropped to his knees and bowed deeply before Ava. “I’m truly sorry, Ms. Morren. I’m willing to compensate you for emotional distress.”

“I’m not interested in dealing with you any further,” Ava retorted. “I don’t accept your apology, and I don’t want your money. But whether I forgive you or not, you will issue a public apology online–on every platform. Am I clear?”
