JASMINES POV

Mhmm, I’ll see if I can arrange something for tomorrow then. So far, I’ve found four homes. So maybe you can visit two tomorrow and the other two on Saturday,Louis suggested.

Sounds good to me,” I agreed with Louis.

I’m free this weekend actually I’ve managed to finish all the urgent work I needed to do so I can join you on Saturday,he told me.

Later that evening, when I retired to my room, I decided to reply to my brother. When

should we meet?I asked him.

I would go to find out why he wanted to speak with me. I would take Kyle and Henry with me in case anything happened.

I then switched contacts from my brother to Keith. Keith, when are you going to sign the papers? I want to settle this in court as quickly as possible.I texted him remembering I had yet to remind him.

He was taking his sweet time, it had been more than two weeks now as if this wasn’t urgent. I knew he was aware of how desperately I wanted to proceed with this and get it over with. He was probably delaying to annoy me.

I don’t agree with the terms of your divorce! He responded a few minutes later.

Oh my god, not this again. Last time Keith mentioned wanting to renegotiate the terms it was before he knew I was staying with Louis. He was worriedI had no money or a home. However, what was his reason for wanting to renegotiate the terms?

I was going to go ahead and file for the contested divorce.

The following day about an hour before I was set to clock off at work Louis allowed me to leave to look at two of the houses he had found. Both were apartments. On Saturday the two properties I was scheduled to have a look at were proper houses in a gated community similar to the home.

With Tony finishing school around the same time I had organised for him to be

brought to that apartment I was seeing. This was going to be his home too so his opinion mattered.

When I arrived at the first apartment building I waited in the car for Tony to arrive and we would go in together. I was informed by the driver that he would be arriving shortly.

About ten minutes or so later a black sedan parked next to where mine was and Tony was escorted out of the car by the bodyguard Louis had assigned.

I got out of the car and went toward him.

Hey mum, I got the results of the math test I wrote on Tuesday,Tony told me once he’d reached me, a paper was in his hand.

I recalled the math test I had aggressively had him prepare for last weekend.

Really, how did it go?I asked him but from the excitement I saw on his face, I could already tell it was good news.

I got 90%!he told me as he handed me the paper in his hand. I took it from him and saw the giant 90% and Excellentwritten in red at the top of the paper.

90% that’s amazing!I said to him and grabbed from under his shoulders and lifted him. He was 9 years old so he was pretty big and heavy already. I was only able to lift a few centimetres off the ground really.

You’re so heavy,I complained/laughed as I spun him around.

Mum, you’re gonna drop me,Tony laughed.

I knew my strict study schedule for him would pay off. I thought to myself a proud of him and myself.

We then made our way into the building where we met with the realtor who would be showing us the first apartment. The apartment building was located in the city center of course but in a different zone from Louisapartment. It was Similar to Louisapartment building, it was one with luxurious apartments for the wealthy in the city.

The apartment was big and spacious with multiple rooms and an indoor swimming pool. It was also prefurnished, and there was luxury furniture in every room. When we left and went to see the next apartment, it was pretty much the same as the first apartment except for the colors and it didn’t have a pool. (2

What do you think Tony which one did you like more?I asked him as we made our way back to Louisapartment.

Both of them were really nice,he told me. Maybe the second was better it had a really nice swimming pool! He said.

All in all, I thought both apartments were good a bit too flashy but good. I was fine with either one because they fulfilled my most important need, a safe place for my son and me. The security at both apartment complexes was good. I wouldn’t have to worry about Diana suddenly making an appearance and barging into my home. She wouldn’t have the keys to my home either and neither would Keith.

On Saturday morning, I made my way to the Yorkshire General Hospital. I left Tony and Louis at the apartment still sleeping. Louismaids informed me that he was resting. He deserved it considering all the work he’d been doing.

On the way, I stopped to buy some flowers and a fruit basket to give to Mike’s father as a gift. Since he was a patient. When I arrived at Mike’s father’s hospital room I found Mike and Megan sitting on the chairs just outside the room.

Jasmine,Megan excitedly said to me as she got up from her seat.

Mike turned to look behind. Jasmine, I’m glad you could make it,he said to me following behind Megan.

Hey, you two,I greeted them.

Please, come in, my father’s awake inside,Mike said as he opened the room door. Upon entering I saw in the middle of the room was a man who was seated upright in the hospital bed talking to a young girl. I recognised the young girl to be Victoria, Mike’s younger sister.

Mike’s father was looking healthy and alert unlike the last time I saw him when he was scrawny looking and appeared to be at deathsdoor. Edward Warner was his name, I recalled.

Dad, this is Jasmine Towers, the woman I’ve been telling you about who sponsored your surgery,Mike introduced me to him.
