JASMINE’S POV 

“Dad this is Jasmine Towers the woman I’ve been telling you about who sponsored your surgery,” Mike introduced me to him. 

“Nice to meet you Mr Warner,” I greeted him and extended my hand to him and he shook it. 

A wide, friendly smile was on the man’s face. 

“The pleasure is all mine, Ms Towers. I’m glad to finally meet the person who saved my life,” he said to me. “Thank you so much for your help. Truly I am.” 

“I’m glad I could help. How are you feeling now?” I asked him. 

“Much, much better the doctors say I’ll be able to be discharged in a few days,” he informed me. “I was actually fine a few days after the surgery but they wanted to monitor me and make sure my new kidney was functioning properly. 

“That’s good to hear,” I told him. 

“I bought these for you,” I said as I presented the flowers and fruit basket to him. 

“Thank you so much, you really didn’t have to,” he thanked me. Mike took them from me and put them by the table next to 

“Please, have a seat,” he told me to sit on the visitors‘ bench beside Megan and Mike. I did as he requested. 

“So you are Mike’s boss?” He asked me. 

“Oh no, not exactly,” I said then chuckled. “I’m the chief of staff of the restaurant I 

assist the CEO.” 

I talked to Mr Warner for a while together with Megan and Mike. I told him a little bit about myself and he told me about his life. 

Once the conversation ended I left Mr Warner in the room to rest for a bit and went to 

chat outside the room. 

“How is everything at the restaurant so far?” I asked them. 

“Everyone at the restaurant is relieved now with Gatwick gone now.” Mega started.

“But everyone is a little nervous as well, the bad publicity the restaurant has been getting in the news due to Gatwick’s crimes and business already dwindling because of reduced standards. We’re all a little worried about the future of the restaurant.” 

I remembered the fear and worry some of the garden house employees had about the 

restaurant. 

“Yeah,” Megan chimed in. “Well you did say the restaurant was going to shut down in future anyway, right Jasmine?” 

“Well-” I started. 

“Rather than focusing on the negatives, let’s at at least be glad we don’t have to deal with Gatwick, Ike interrupted me. 

“Still, what a surprise it was to find out you were working undercover for the CEO this whole time,” Megan said. 

“Sorry, if you guys felt I had mislead you,” I told them. 

“Not at all, if it hadn’t been for that who knows if he’d been stopped?” Megan said and Mile agreed. 

Victoria then came out of the room and came to us. “Hey, Mike you got cash I want a drink from the vending machine?” she asked him. 

“Actually, lets get drinks for everyone. I’ll come with you,” he told Voctoria as he got up from the seat. “What do you two want?” he turned to Megan and I. 

“I’ll get a cherry soda,” Megan said. 

“Just some water will be fine,” I told him. 

He and Victoria then left leaving Megan and I alone. 

“By the way I wanted to tell you that Mike and I, are officially together now,” Megan told me. 

“Megan, oh my god that’s amazing!” I excitedly told her and I held her hands then w began aggressively shaking them in excitement. “When did this occur?” I followed up, 

once we had calmed down. 

“Two days after after Gatwick was arrested. He’d been comforting me since the incident with Gatwick and then he just directly asked me out,” she went into details. “I was surprised but so happy.”

“I’m so happy for you Megan,” I told her. 

“Honestly, Jasmine it’s thanks to you that things worked out,” 

“what did I do?” I asked surprised she was thanking me for that. 

“You helped him through a difficult time in his life. He’s opened up to me recently. 

Victoria and Mike came back and the conversation continued amongst us. 

After a while I said my goodbyes to Mike, Megan, Mr Warner and Victoria and left the dialysis department. Checking the time on my watch it was just before 1 pm. The house tour was at 3pm so I still had time to go back to Louis‘ apartment. 

Upon arriving at the apartment I went to see Tony in his room but didn’t find him there. I checked the other main rooms where he typically would be but he wasn’t in any of them, either. I asked one of the maids where he had gone and they told me he was with Louis in his gym room. They then led me to it. 

We went to the area of the apartment I liked to call Louis‘ wing. There was his bedroom, office and gym. 

I’d never been in the gym before when I arrived, I was taken aback by how large it was. Almost the size of a commercial gym. There were multiple exercising equipment around the room. And then in the corner of the room I heard grunting and slamming. My attention turning to that area I found Louis and Tony. They were in the middle of boxing ring Louis was punching a dummy bag ad Louis was behind him coaching him. 

As I approached they turned to face me. 

“Mum, you’re back!” Tony said to me excitedly. “Look at my boxing skills!” 

He then proceeded to to me a right and left hook on the punching bag. 

“Nice,” I commented. 

“Decided to give him some boxing lessons as we waited for you to return,” Louis explained. 

“That’s fine. Did you finish your homework, Tony?” I asked him. I didn’t want to spoils Tonys fun but I had to make sure he’d finished his tasks before he started playing. 

“Yes,” Tony answered then suddenly made eye contact with Louis beside him. The two then gave each other a knowing glance as if there was some kind of wordless conversation going on between them. Then their gaze averted back to me. That was

“Hang on, I’m sorry what’s happening here?” I asked the two after the obviously 

suspicious exchange they’d had. 

“Nothing,” Tony quickly said. 

“Yeah, nothing, it’s just bro talk,” Louis added. 

My eyebrow cocked, and my arms folded in suspicion. “Bro talk?” I repeated. 

“But he did finish his homework, I was there,” Louis assured me.
