CURRENTLY BEING EDITED OÂ
SPECIAL POV: TONY’S POVÂ
Every weekend mum and I were doing an activity together and just having fun. One day mum had us spend the weekend with him at an F1 racing tournament. I thought it was going to be like all the times we would have spend the day and then go home afterward.Â
Imagine my surprise the next day when I woke up and found myself and my mother in Louis‘ home. My mother explained to me that she was divorcing Dad and that we were going to be staying with Louis for a little while. Until we found a new house.Â
She explained that our house was no longer safe because of Diana. Though I didn’t understand the situation completely I did trust my mother. Besides, I didn’t mind. I liked Louis, he seemed like a cool person and his house was nice.Â
I was assigned a driver who drove me to school every day and I also had two bodyguards. Mum said they were for my protection. Everything was good at the new place and seemed to be going well.Â
That is however, until Louis unfortunately found out about my secret. When Mum went to the hospital to see her friends, Victoria and Mike on the Saturday morning. She told told she would be back in the afternoon. I was doing my homework in my room. When Louis came to check on me.Â
“Hey, little man what’s up?” he asked me upon entering my room.Â
“Hey, Louis,” I greeted him as he got closer to me.Â
“Doing your homework?” he asked me.Â
“Yeah,” replied. “I want to finish it now before mum gets back.”Â
I then looked down at my desk and my eyes widened in surprise asÂ
I had forgotten that I had one of my current ‘victim’s‘ exercise books‘ on the table. I planned to rip it up and throw it in the trash but hadn’t gotten to it yet. Immediately, I tried to hide the book underneath my other books.Â
“What are you hiding?” Louis asked me having noticed and drew closer to me.Â

“Nothing!” I answered suspiciously.Â
He then quickly snatched the book from under the papers and I tried to cover it with.Â
“No, don’t look I tried to grab stand up and grab it back from him but he simply lifted it higherÂ
“Mmhmm,” he said as he checked the cover of the book. “I don’t think your name is Stephen, is it?”Â
Stephen wasn’t part of Zeke’s group but he was someone who had to insult me by saying my mum had done something. He said something about my mother punching Diana in the face. Now I didn’t know the story but I bet it was another lie that they always saying about my mum.Â
“Why do you have someone else’s book?” he asked.Â
“Please don’t tell mum,” I begged him. She would be do disappointed in me if she foundÂ
out.Â
He grinned as he looked down at me. “I won’t if you explain to me what this is about.”Â
A sad expression appeared on my face. With no choice, I told him everything. About how I was being made fun of and mum was being insulted. How I couldn’t fight back because they all came from important families. And how mum told me not to.Â
He sat down on my bed and listened to me.Â
I then explained how I wanted to get back at them and thought of a way to do it without getting in trouble.Â
When I was done explaining it all to him he then burst out laughing. “That’s so smart really,” he said in between laughs.Â
My eyes widened surprised by his reaction.Â
“You’re really an interesting character. Would hate to have you as my enemy,” he continued laughing. “You don’t let anyone get away with messing your mum do you?”Â
“Of course not! I won’t allow anyone to insult her!” I said angrily.Â
His eyes softened as he looked at me.”Youre sweet kid,” he said.Â
“So, is my secret is safe with you?” I asked worriedly.Â
“Sure, but there’s something else you need to do for me,” he said.Â

“What is it?” I asked feeling like I’d been tricked.Â
“Are you almost done with your homework?” he then asked.Â
I nodded in response.Â
“Good, then we’ll talk at lunch,” he said as he stood up from my bed. He then came toward me and ruffled my hair with his hand.Â
“And make sure to get rid of that book before your mum finds it,” he warned me as he pointed at the book on my desk. For a moment I was confused then I realized he was helping me keep my secret! What a relief.Â
When he exited my room, I kept out a breath. Lucky it was him who caught me and not mum. I can imagine the look of disappointment that would have been on her face.Â
When I was done with my homework I then left my room and made my way to the dining room to have lunch. I found Louis seated at the dining table going When Louis saw me he smiled and greeted me once more. I then sat down and lunch was served toÂ
- us.Â
“Have you ever tried boxing, before?” He asked me starting a conversation.Â
“No,” I replied.Â
“Well I like boxing in my free time you see but I often do it alone it’s better to do it, and sometimes it’s better to have someone to help you train since boxing is a two person eport,” he told me. “How about you help me be the second person as the final thing you need to do for me to keep your secret?” He then winked at me. “Itll give us something to do as we wait for your mother to return.”Â
“Okay,” I agreed. That didn’t sound so bad. I thought he was going to ask me to do something difficult.Â
After lunch we went his gym room. It reminded me a lot of my dads‘ gym room who also exercised a lot. The only difference was there was a giant boxing ring in the room. Though I had never boxed I found myself feeling excited.Â
Louis had me put on sone protective gear and then began teaching me how to box. He was a patient and kind teacher. As I followed his instructions I began to punch at the punching pads he held. It was so fun. I imagined the target was Zeke, and friends.Â
Louis was a really awesome guy. Spending time with him made me think of the time I wish Dad spent with me. Like when he taught me how to a ride bike, played foot.Â

Forget about Dad he’s forgotten about you.Â
After a while of practicing, I then saw Mum enter the gym from the corner of my eye. “Mum you’re back!” I said to her. “Look at my left and right hook.” I said to get as I showed her my moves.Â
“Thats great,” she said to me. “Did you do your homework, though?” she then asked.Â
I immediately looked at Louis as I recalled our incident in the morning today. HeÂ
winked at me.Â
“Yeah, I finished my homework,” I told her.Â
**Â
I looked out the window of the classroom lost in thought. I was thinking about the new home mum and I had recently moved into this week. I was so excited to swim in that indoor pool. When asked chose one and before long moved into it.Â
It’s finally Friday, Tony,” Albert said to me bringing me out of my thoughts.Â
“Yeah, it is,” I answered.Â
“What are you planning to do this weekend?” he asked me.Â
“I don’t know my mum and I will decide today or tomorrow.” I told him.Â
“Well my dad is planning to take us to a resort in a port city. He’s going for a business meeting but he said will take us with him.Â
I felt a sting in my heart when he mentioned his dad.Â
I don’t know why it always made me jealous when other people talked about their dads. I told myself to forget about him soehy couldn’t I forget about him? It was going to be just mum and me from now on.Â
“Thats nice, I hope you have fun,” I told Albert, happy for him. Sad for me though.Â
When school ended. I packed my books as usual in my bag and like the rest of my classmates, made my way to the exit.Â
When I stepped outside the building, I expected to meet my bodyguards, Darren and Wayne, as usual. I looked to where I usually found them and saw them waiting for me. Wasting no time I began walking towards them.Â
“Anthony,” I then heard a familiar voice call out to me. I stopped in my tracksÂ

wondering if I’d heard right. Slowly my head turned in the direction I’d heard the voice come from.Â
A man slowly make his way towards me. Immediately, his blue eyes and dark jet black hair caught my attention. I blinked twice unsure if I was seeing right. He then came and stopped right in front of me.Â
“Dad?” I said surprised to see him. Was he looking at me? I thought to myself. Was he mistaking me for Marco? He had called my name though.Â
“Hello Anthony,” he said confirming what I couldn’t believe. He really was talking to me.Â
“Hi,” was all I could say.Â
“I’ve come to pick you up,” he said to me.Â
My eyes widened in disbelief. Dad had never picked me up from school himself. Even when mum and I lived with him. I was always picked by the driver.Â
He then held out his hand at me. “Lets go,” he said wanting me to take it.Â
