DIANA’S POVO

When I arrived home early in the evening I was relived to find Keith was not home. Obviously he had told me he would be busy at an event. I showered aggressively literally burning my skin with hot water. I wanted to get all traces of ‘him‘ off my body. It’s how it always was when I went to see him.

I checked on Marco and had him go to bed early. I then went to my bedroom and thought about my day for a little bit.

He said he was going kill Jasmine and her son now ahead of schedule. I brought a ginger to my mouth and bit it as I tried to keep, myself from smiling and laughing. Once this was all over Keith would be all mine. The woman who took everything from me would be all gone! After a while I then went to sleep.

When I heard Keoth come much later that night. Normally I would have woken up and tried to talk to him but I didn’t want to this time. After my session with ‘him‘ I worried Keith would be suspicious even though I washed my body thoroughly.

“What are you doing?” I asked him.

“I apologize sir, I was just looking for some documents which I failed to find as there.

I looked down at the desk and understood why he was having trouble. There were countless documents sprawled all over, about Jasmine and Diana.

To keep everything from Diana I had turned my office into an investigation room.

Later that evening Edward and I went to the product release event. The event started with the usual greetings with other attendees and then the event started with the CEO of the Pearson technologies group presenting their new phone and announcing the official date they would would release it to the public for sale.

After the initial introduction of the product and presentation, the attendees got back to networking. I made sure to find the Pearson CEO in the crowd and personally congratulate him for the new release.

turned to face the person and found a familiar figure standing behind me.

“Ah, Mr Carrington, right?” I asked. He was the Louis boy’s older brother that Edward had mentioned the other day would be attending the event, Robert Carrington Jr.

“Yes. It’s a pleasure meet you again,” he said as he extended his hand to greet me.

“Yes, likewise,” I agreed and shook his hand.

“How are things? How are you finding the running of the company?” he asked.

“Its been good so far, no complaints,” I answered. “and you?”

As we exchanged pleasantries in the back of my mind, I was thinking of the elephant in the room.

There was a momentary pause of silence and I felt it was the right time for me to bring it up.

“Mr Carrington, there has been a rumor floating around that your younger brother is with my wife,” I said to him.

Robert’s eyes widened for a moment and then a look of recognition appeared in his

eyes.

“I have heard of the rumors as well,” he answered slowly.

” He has been meddling in my family’s affairs,” I told him.

“I am sorry to hear that and I apologize on my brother’s behalf,” Robert said to me. “I will talk to him and hope to resolve the situation.”

“I would appreciate that,” I said to him.

“Of course we wouldn’t want any misunderstandings between us,” he answered.

“That’s the last thing we would want,” I said, flashing him a look. Our words were kind but it was clear there was a threat laced in them. Obviouslyit wasn’t a threat to challenge the Carrington company. Our companies were around the same size so I actually couldn’t. However, we hadn’t yet collaborated but if we decided to in the future it would be a shame for me to use this incident as an excuse not to work with them. I’m sure the Carrington group would want to use that as an excuse.
