171 I got it mum! 

“This is embarrassing,” Louis said as he cringed looking at the photo. “We are going to be late for work you know?” 

I ignored his last statement as I continued looking through the photo album. “Its not embarrassing this really nice,” I told him.

I then another picture of that girl from earlier. 

“This is your ex?” I asked him to confirm. 

He looked at the picture for a moment. 

“yeah,” he replied as he brought hus to back of his neck and rubbed it. “We met in college.” 

“She’s really pretty,” I commented. There was a moment of silence between us. I contemplated asking him what I wanted to. 

“Would you say you have a type, Louis?” I went for it. His ex–girlfriend was brunette with blue eyes, I was brunette with green eyes and his wife from my past life was the same. What were the odds of him coincidentally having romantic partners that all happened have the same features. 

“What do you mean?” he asked me. 

“Just wondering,if you have a type in women,” I explained. 

I couldn’t really bring up the pattern because he hadn’t met the future wife yet. So I thought it would be safer to be a bit vague. 

“I don’t think I have one,” Louis started. “I mean I’ve only ever been in one other relationship before you and it was with her. Girls didn’t like me in high school cause was the fat kid.” 

I recalled adorable and chubby Louis used to be when he was younger. It’s a shame he was made to feel like crap because of it. 

“But if I do have a type, I guess you are the one who inspired it since you’re the first girl I ever had a crush on,” he told me. “And I know that’s kind of a lousy lover.” 

171 I got it mum! 

My eyes widened as I processed what he was saying. 

“I also know- I know how it sounds. That I dated someone because they look like someone else,” he explained. “Which is unfair to them. Which is why I broke up with them as soon as I realized it.” 

On the contrary it actually made me happy. It made me feel special knowing that I was on his mind and influenced him that much. I knew I should feel guilty for being happy about it because at the end of the day you are wasting the other person’s time of those are your reasons for being with them. 

Was that the same case with his wife from the past? I wondered. 

That mean he at the very least it meant may be their marriage was arranged. 

“I’m glad you told me it makes feel special that you like me that much,” I started. I was happy with how transparent and honest he was about his feelings. “And secondly you’re not a lousy lover. The way you treat me is incredible. I would have thought you’re quite the experienced lover. In fact, I’m the one who feels insecure about our relationship since the one who has never been in a proper relationship before. I learning so much as we go and trying my best to be a good lover.” 

“So am I. I guess we’re both learning together,” he said to me. 

My lips curved into a wide genuine smile in response. 

He then held out his hand toward me.” Shall we go to work?” he asked me. 

“Yes,” I agreed as I took his hand and he helped me stand up. 

“We have new menu’s to handle,” he told me. 

I felt a lot better now overall after talking to Louis. I knew where his feelings lay for the most part since he was very sincere with them. 

I would have to wait and see what happened to see if anything came off this wom but I trusted Louis. 

Because we spent most of the day away from the office yesterday, at the Carrington HQ we had a lot more work to do today at the Garden House HQ. We had to find a way to fit in all the tasks we had to do and somehow finish before the end of the day. We ended up finishing late and I was completely exhausted. 

Louis and I went back to his apartment. Upon arriving Tony rushed to me as I walked

“Mum! Mum!” he called out to me and I wondered what had him this excited 

“Hey, sweetie I’m a little tired right now, I told him as calmly as possible. I was so exhausted and little irritable this wasn’t a good time for me to speak with him I wa worried I would lash out at him by mistake. “I’ll talk to you in a bit, okay?” I asked. 

“Okay,” he said with a bit of a disappointed look. 

As soon as I got into Louis’s bedroom, I immediately had a shower. Afterwards f changed into some comfortable clothes and I spoke with Louis for a bit about our day By the time, dinner was ready 2 hours later I felt I had cooled down and was read to talking to Tony. 

I left Louis‘ room and went to the room Louis had assigned to Tony. 

“Sorry about earlier sweetie, what did you want to say me?” I then asked Tony as I entered his room and sat down on his bed. 

Tony who was seated at his desk doing his homework looked at me. 

His lips then curved into a smile then took something that was on his desk and showed it to me. 

“I gotmot mum! I got Marco’s hair!” He excitedly told me as he waved the tiny hairs around. 

It took me a moment to register what he said before a my eyebrows shot up in surprise. 

“What!? Why didn’t you say this before?” I asked him in disbelief as I got up from the bed and went to him to inspect the hairs from a closer angle. 

“I did, but you told me you were tired,” he made me recall what I had told when I arrived. 

My eyes widened in realisation. “You’re right, sweetie sorry,” I apologised feelin ashamed of myself. 

I was so overwhelmed I hadn’t thought about why Tony had been so excited to talk to 

1. me. 

“How…how did you do it?” I asked him.
