JASMINE’S POVÂ
“Pfft,” the chuckle i had been fighting not to release escaped my mouthÂ
“Stop, dont laugh,” Louis said to me pissed as he shifted irritably in the seat of his office desk.Â
“How can I not when you’re wearing shades indoors?” I asked him. My gaze was focused on his black sunglasses. On the borders of the glasses you could see a little swelling on his temple.Â
I had helped put some concealer on his face this morning to help cover up some of the bruising. However, there was nothing I could do about the swelling.Â
“I already feel embarrassed enough with the employees looking at me funny whenever they see me,” he told me.Â
When we entered the building this morning all the employees on the top floor stared at him as he headed for his office wondering why he was wearing sunglasses. They were even more perplexed when they came to deliver things to the office.Â
My lips pressed together and I fought from getting into another fit of laughter.Â
Causing Louis to be annoyedas he glared at me. Overall, Louis was still upset about losing yesterday. Tony and I tried to comfort him a bit when we arrived him home but he wasn’t having it.Â
But again serves Louis right. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. It was his idea to fight.Â
“Just so you know Keith has his own bruises, he’s walking around with bandages and foundation as well. I may have lost but on also did a number on him too,” Louis defended himself.Â
“Yeah,” I replied and continued giggling. In any case, I too was upset that Louis had lost. However, I was glad to see him get a few punches. For sure he was swollen himself.Â
“Okay, I don’t think its that funny,” Louis grew impatient at my disrespectful mocking of him.Â
“Just give me the report!” he snarled at me.Â

“So, Good news… “I started as my giggling died down. The menus are gradually gaining more and more traction,” I told him. “The number of diners increased greatly this past week. Particularly, during the weekend, multiple restaurants were reported to have have near fully booked dining rooms and several dishes finished before sÂ
I put forward the printed paperwork on these details.Â
“That’s good to hear,” he said in an bitter tone and his I could see the vein almost popping out of his head and the battle only became harder. If he wants me to stop laughing he has to stop this. I was literally in stitches.Â
“These are the most popular dishes on each menu,” I told him as I placed the next document in front of him of him at his desk.Â
“The marketing is thinking of rebranding the restaurant a bit to go with the new menu and giveÂ
“Jokes aside this is incredible Jasmie everything is coming along nicely. From these numbers it looks the restaurant will be making so much more it will be self–sustaining. 4 times more than the current budget. Which is insane becauseour starting nugget was so small in comparison,” he praised me.Â
My eyes sparked up with in gratification as he looked at me.Â
“Thank you for the praise but whilst I gave the idea, it’s you who brought the idea to life and actualized it. Having an idea in theory and actually implementing are two different things however,” I praised him back.Â
“We did a good job then,” he said to me as he returned.Â
My lips curved into a warm smile. “we did,” I agreed with him.Â
He returned the smoke “godÂ
“Do you want me to stop laughing or not?” I asked him.Â
“Now, let’s make sure we can keep things going like this,” Louis continued. What’s is the marketing team sayingÂ
“Well…” I continued on the marketing teams idea.Â
******Â
As the days passed, at work we continued with the restaurant’s rebranding I prepared for my court hearing which was in less than a week on the coming Monday.Â
I went to see my lawyers to finalise his we were going to present my case. Now that IÂ

had given them the information concerning the banking we finalized my opening statements and the arguments we would put that I would present on the day.Â
It was becoming more real with each passing day. It was going to fine I thought to myself. Tony would be yours and then Keith would deal with this unknown guy.Â
I recalled Keith’s smug face from that day in the gym. You’re going to get him. Leave him speechless.Â
Come at me Keith, I’m ready for you.Â

ANONYMOUS POVÂ
I aarived home and went to the lounge where I took a cigarette and sat on myÂ
couch.Â
My personal aide whom had been waiting for to arrive came to me with a lateÂ
“Talk to me,” I told him to give me all the updates from my spies.Â

“she sure moves fucking quick,” I said as I took a puff of my cigar.Â
“Sir,Â
I would have handled Jasmine much earlier if weren’t for the Carrington. Still, it’s impressive how fast she’s uncovering information.Â
“What other information do they have?”Â
“We know that they are closing in on Diana, sir. We’ve gotten rid of all traces of you.”Â
I let out a sigh. Jasmine was in direct contact with Disna so its no surprise she knows a lot about her not mention Diana has had a few sloppy mishaps. Jasmine probably had a few pieces of evidence on her.Â
“Has she spoken to or shared this information with Keith?”Â
“Not to our knowledge, sir. Our informant at his office hasnt reported him knowing anything, just that he finds the accounting reports of the company suspicious.”Â
“Shes keeping it to herself then,” I let out. “Perhaps she’s waiting for her upcoming court hearing.” The two were planning on finalising their divorce. She was asking for a contested divorce with sole custody, whilst Keith wanted joint custody.Â
