179 Turn aroundÂ
My aide then coughed nervously. “And we have another problem,” he started.Â
“What is it?” I prodded him to go further.Â
“Our staff spies at the young Master’s school report that he has been speaking to Ms Towers son recently.”Â
My body stiffened for a moment and my eyes narrowed as I processed the information he had given me. “That boy….” the words left my mouth. After all the instructions I had given him explicitly NOT to speak with him. He knows the risks yet he would play around? Why?Â
This changed everything.Â
“Does Diana know about this?” I asked.Â
“No, not to my knowledge sir,” she hasn’t reported anything to anyone.Â
“Of course she doesn’t. The fucking idiot. Only thing good about her is her body it seems,” I said in an unamused tone.Â
“What do you suggest we do?” my aide asked.Â
I had a bad feeling about what the boys‘ interactions may have been about.Â
Then there was Jasmine who was going to figure everything out soon at this rate. As I brought my hands up to my to my chin, contemplating my next steps. Right now the weakest link to my efforts to cover up my tracks was Diana…Â
“Looks, like I have no choice,” I started. “Call all the servants on our side we having working in Keith’s estate I have instructions for them. Also clear my afternoon schedule so I can visit Marco’s make sure Diana’s bodyguards are the one.”Â
“Yes sir,” my aide accepted the order. “And what should we tell Ms Rockford? You had planned for her to carry out sonething in regards to Ms Towers last time.” my aideÂ
asked.Â
“Oh that?” I said recalling what I had initially told her about poisoning Jasmine herself.Â
Tell her I’ll actually handle it myself. I’ll contact her soon anyway.”Â
I was going to have to change plans again.Â

KEITHS POVÂ
179 Turn aroundÂ
Edward stared at me rather curiously as I signed some papers for him.Â
My face was partially swollen and purple.Â
“May I ask what happened to you, sir?” he asked me.Â
“No,” I curtly responded.Â
Edwards face dropped at my answer. Everyone at the office had been staring at me. I ignored their stares and acted normal. Don’t even get me started on Diana’s reaction when I arrived home that Sunday afternoon.Â
That Carrington boy had gotten a few hits on me and my face. It pissed me off thinking about it. That boy got under my skin beyond belief. And he did on purpose too. When he came whilst I was talking to Jasmine put his arm around her just so I would see. Him talking a good game so he could get me to fight him. Trying to rile me up.Â
I felt so satisfied when I finally gave a good beating. If only Jasmine hadn’t stopped me. Seeing her so concerned to the boy pissed me so much all I could do was stand and watch them. Then as if to add salt to injury Anthony went to him and they consoled him like one little happy family. Disgusting. Even though I won the fight, it still felt like I had lost.Â
My face twisted up in anger as I continued signing the papers.Â
“I apologize sir I won’t ever overstep,” Edward apologized. I looked up him realizing he thought I was aiming my anger at him.Â
Once I finished signing the last paper I handed him all the papers he had to send to theÂ
managers.Â
“Thank you, sir,” he said to me as he turned away from me. “And just to inform you your lawyers will be arriving in the next hour.”Â
“Okay,” I said to him. My lawyers were coming to discuss my upcoming hearing for theÂ
divorce.Â
Edward then quickly left my office. As he closed the door behind him my thoughtsÂ
went back to Jasmine.Â
Just another week I told myself. One week and Jasmine and Anthony would forever be in my reach. She couldn’t play around with me as he had been doing so far with the Carrington.Â
Diana almost had a heart attack when she arrived home. I lied to her of course, that I had been doing some bioxing training with someone and it went too far.Â
179 Turn aroundÂ
My gaze then turned to the documents on my table I had been going through before Edward came in.Â
They were the comprehensive financial reports that I had asked Edward to give me. My hands flipped through the time again. I had gone through them in the last two days trying to find the inconsistencies I expected, but again, all the numbers added up. What was I missing? I wasn’t sure.Â
This was the third time I thought to myself. It’s either I was going crazy and imagining things or something was going on. From this point I was going to properly document everything.Â
I continued doing some paperwork at my desk when there was a ring at my office door. The camera showed it was my lawyers. I buzzed them in and they entered, making their way to my desk. I immediately stood up.Â
“Gentlemen, please let’s sit in my lounge area and get comfortable,” I stopped them from approaching and directed them toward the lounge.Â
Once we were seated we began our discussion.Â
“Chairman Acland, as you already know we would like to continue our discussion on your upcoming hearing. We want to go overÂ
“Yes,” I agreed as I looked at their paperwork.Â
I expected this trial to be a breeze. Once Jasmine presented her nonsensical filing, the judge would surely, and obviously, quickly side with me. I don’t know why she was so adamant to continue with it when it made no sense.Â
