What had Jasmine and her lawyers presented to the judge for him to accept their 

evidence? 

Temporary sole custody had been awarded to Jasmine… 

This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. I had been so sure this was a straight forward case. At this rate Jasmine was going win the settlement, get sole custody, and 

Recalling her calm demeanor in the court I should have taken that to mean she had something up her sleeve. 

How will I–how will I have access to her? The poor sentence formed in my mind and I realized how I sounded. 

I made my way to the judge’s chambers where I had seem him headed. 

“Keith!” I heard Diana yell after me I looked behind as she caught up to me in the hallway. “None of it is true. Jasmine is trying to lie about me again.” 

I looked down at her 

“I don’t doubt that, that’s why I’m trying to speak to the judge and have this resolved “Must you make such a hassle and speak to the judge?” she asked. 

I suddenly stopped and looked at her in disbelief. 

“Are you seriously asking me that!? What do you think everyone will think of me when my wife has obtained sole custody and a protection order, like I’m some abusive man!? For you to even suggest I don’t defend and clear my name is ridiculous. 

Her eyes flashed in surprise. “Sorry I wasn’t trying to suggest you ignore that,” she quickly apologized. 

“Go and wait in the car I’ll have this sorted out soon,” I told Diana. 

She worriedly looked at me. “Yes, Keith,” she agreed. She then left with her bodyguard and headed toward the building exit. 

Upon arriving at Judge Wakins chambers, his name written in the door, I knocked at the door. Watkins called out for me to enter and I did.

“Ah Chairman Acland,” Judge Watkins said as approached his desk. The elderly man. holding some documents at his desk which he put aside. “Please take a seat I have a

As I sat at the guest seat Watkins spoke up. “So I will let you know right away that my decision in that courtroom is final and I will not be changing it,” he told me. 

“With all due respect your honour,” I started. I didn’t understand how you could find the evidence my wife presented credible. I reviewed everything with my attorneys and there what nothing in the bank account statements we took that signalled there was something wrong. Nothing could have warranted this outcome. Are you sure you reviewed the evidence properly?” 

Watkins lips curved into a small smile as he scoffed. 

“First of all Chairman I can assure that we thoroughly review evidence here at the justice department through the proper channels. and An it seems you have completely no idea,” he told me.“I suggest you contact your bank if they haven’t contacted you already so they can give you the details. They informed us they will be starting an internal investigation on your account to understand what happened with the transactions. However, they themselves confirmed that your account had been tampered with and the transactions you and your presented were incorrect.”

My eyes widened in disbelief. My bank was investigating… 

“You’re saying Diana Rockford my partner changed the transactions in the bank account,” I asked in disbelief. 

“I didn’t say that, but the bank confirmed that the money that was sent to your wife was only 1000 USD which is confirmed to have been done by her. The rest I think you should speak with your bank for more details!” he told me. 

My legs felt glued to floor as I took in this information. 

“If you’ll excuse Chairmain I do have have a lot of work to do,” Watkins me kicking me out of his office. 

“Of course,” I agreed. Upon leaving his office I turned to one of my bodyguards I want everything about my Aardvis bank account and this situation ready for me at the estate,” I told them. 

I soon left the Department of justice building my mind a mess. In the parking lot as I went toward my car I caught a glance of Jasmine and the Carrington boy. They were entering their car a short distance away. I felt thoroughly annoyed as I watched the two smile at each other and laugh. Those knew about this but didn’t inform me so I

couldn’t do anything. 

My mind was rattled in the car on the way back to my estate. Until I confirmed the findings of the bank I didn’t know what conclusion 

There was also another glaring issue in all this. And I looked at the other seat to look at the issue as it stared back at me. She had just come from asking me a question. 

“What did the judge say?” Diana asked me. 

“He said he’s not changing his decision,” I told her absent–mindedly. 

“So what are you going to do?” she followed up. 

I don’t know I told her. 

“But what if—” sh continued and found myself getting irritated by the non–stop questions. My mind was way too restless given the current situation. 

“Diana if you could stop talking for five minutes that would be greatly appreciated! ” I snapped at her. 

Her eyes widened at my outburst. She then bit her lip but she fell silent. Diana was in the middle of these accusations and I felt so bothered. I had to figure this out quickly. The rest of the ride was silent as I contemplated what the outcome of all this was going to be. Upon arriving at the estate I went to my home office and was given an update on the Aardvus bank account. 

My bodyguard/ aid and I went through it together as he explained to me what he had found. Basically they confirmed that the transactions in the bank account had been tampered with.
