“Keith must you go thus far?” she asked me.Â
“You’re not giving me a reason to trust you. Why can’t you give me a straight answer for everything I’ve asked so far. You won’t tell me how you changed the bankÂ
transactions either. I will thoroughly investigate then,” I told her. Her refusal to speak was quite telling.Â
I anticipated that Diana may be lying to me but I never could have imagined it would be this bad. I was doubting everything about her. The fact that she would lie to me when I trusted her. The vision of the broken girl I had met when we wereÂ
was fading.Â
enagersÂ
“Was I just a joke to you? Did none of this mean anything to you? Why would you go this far?” it was taking a concerted effort to have a civil conversation with her because the rage coursing through my veins was about to reach it’s limit.Â
Her lip quivered and tears formed in her eyes. “Keith you just suddenly broke withÂ
up me one day without warning. The future we could have had was suddenly taken away from me because of Jasmine. I just wanted us to meÂ
“And so that justifies everything? You’ve done!?” I asked her in disbelief. “You do realize changing bank statements is illegal? You’ve committed acrime!”Â
“I-” she stuttered then her eyes averted to the floor.Â
I scoffed then turned away from her and made to leave the room. I couldn’t go on with this conversation any longer.Â
“Where are you going?!” she asked me.Â
“I’m going back to work,” I told her. “I’ll deal with you later.”Â
If I stayed in that room with her, chances are I was going to do something I regretted to her. The way she was talking to me it’s almost as if she didn’t understand gravity of the situation. I also had to discuss with my lawyers what to do with her.Â
“Keith wait!” she yelled after me but I ignored her and continued walking away. “Please, please listen to me.”Â
“Diana if you keep following me I swear you’ll regret it,” I said as my hands fisted at my side.Â

Her footsteps halted at that.Â
I made my and about of the bedroom my body shaking with rage. My mind was unable to process the confrontation I had just had with her.Â
Outside the room I found two bodyguards.Â
“Keep an eye on her make sure she doesn’t try anything and especially to run away,Â
“Yes, sir,” they said.Â
“I also want a dna test on Marco,” I ordered them. “As soon as he gets back from school.Â
Get started on that.”Â
They accepted the order.Â
midway I stopped and brought my hand to my head. My heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest.Â
Today what I had expected to be an open–and–shut case in court turned into a Pandora’s box.Â
What do I even do now? I thought to myself. Everything was possibly a lie. Everything starting from Marco himself and I had let her. I had let her fool me. Meaning Jasmine had been right the entire time. All those times I had ridiculed her… telling her she was jealous.Â
She really didn’t have any money.Â
I thought I was helping her but I wasn’t. In all fairness Diana had made it difficult for me to see this until I’m still yet to understand how she changed the bank transactions. Whether she told me or not I would figure it out.Â
Now she was with that boy. And she was one step closer from completely cutting me off at the next hearing.Â
Upon re–entering my home office I approached my desk. And put my hands on it. I ran my fingers through my hair as I tried to process the situation. I had literally given up everything, everything for Diana.Â
A feeling of angst came over me. Looking at the things on my desk I grunted as my hands quickly pushed everything off my desk in a fit of rage. My desktop and all the documents came crashing down onto the floor in a loudÂ
thud. My desk was completely empty afterward. Heaving heavily I looked at the messÂ

on the floor. My desktop unsurprisingly had snapped into two and the screen was cracked. I was going to make Diana pay for this. There is no way she would be left unscathed after insulting me to this degree.Â
A part of me was glad that the heavyweight I had to had been carrying in the last weeks had come to an end. I hated Diana being pregnant and had been stressed about it.Â
How can I reverse what has happened to today? How can I contact Jasmine?Â
The door to my office then suddenly opened. I turned to look at the intruder. It was a bodyguard.Â
“What!?” I snapped at him. “Why didn’t you knock!?”Â
“I apologize for the intrusion, sir. I was knocking but you weren’t responding,” the bodyguard responded. “I grew concerned I heard a loud noise.” His gaze then turned averted to the floor and fixed on the mess I made.Â
“What do you want?” I asked him and he was holding a brown envelope in his hands.Â
“Sir, you’ve received a package,” he informed me.Â
“Look ill take a look at it later,” I dismissively told him. I didn’t have time for this no right now when I felt could punch anything.Â
“But it came from…” he started saying.Â
“I said I’ll look at it later!” I snapped.Â
“Yes, sir,” he accepted.Â
“And I want this room cleaned up and organized. Replace the desktop too,” I ordered. “Yes sir!” he nervously accepted.Â
I made my way toward the exit and walked past the man.Â
I left the left the estate and went to the Acland HQ. I had left Edward in charge of everything whilst I was busy in court. At my office I met with my lawyers again. We discussed how we could deal with this situation and find a way to change Jasmine’s sole custody request. We also discussed how I should deal with Diana and her lies.Â
That night when I returned to the mansion I didn’t return to our bedroom. I went to my study as I contemplated to myself.Â
