192 An ambush

My meeting won’t be too long and Louis, Should arrive soon,I said to Tony as our two cars parked and we got out.

Okay,Tony replied.

We then made our way to the entrance stairway and elevator to get to the main floors. I noticed the silence in the lot as we made our way

As we neared the entrance I noticed three men dressed in casual all black clothing staring at us. I found it strange. Suddenly, Tony and I’s two sets of bodyguards got in a defensive stance surrounding Tony and I. My eyebrows furrowed as I wondered what was happening

Ma’am somethings wrongon of them informed me. You’ll have to go the other side and get to safety whilst we handle this.”

I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand upon hearing this. I quickly accepted their advice. The quicker we moved, the safer Tony would be.

OkayI said and Tony and I turned away with five of the eight bodyguards we had with us.

We moved as quickly as we could but I was curious to look back.

Mum?Toby asked as we we lead to another side.

We need to run TonyI simply told him.

Then I heard fighting and grunting in the background and that told me this three men

had been hostile

Was it? Diaba’s partner who had curated this attack? I asked myself.

How did they know where to find me here!? As I thought about it, it wasn’t so much of

a mystery. I knew they had been surveying me the same way Louis and I had been watching Diana

We continued to run with the bodyguards we left would quickly take care of the

situation.

As we ran past the many parked cars trying to get to safety I looked around.

Aren’t there cameras anywhere? I asked myself looking around. The staff of the

building should be able to see this. The cameras I knew that were there for sure were by the entrance we had been approaching.

I’ll try calling the man I have a meeting with to let him know what’s happening. I said as I took out my phone. However, upon checking it I saw it had no connection.

We are underground so the connection is weak, I told them.

As we rounded a corner, I finally saw it. A camera on one of the car park building supporting pillars.

Do you think the security can see us in the camera’s?I asked one of the bodyguards.

Hopefully, they can but there is chance that they have done something to the cameras,he told me.

Another group of allblack clothed figures came toward us as we made our way. Once again my bodyguards split to handle the threat.

This way ma’am,one of the two remaining bodyguards told me and we headed in another direction.

As we went through another section of the parking lot. As we ran I noticed body on the floor. Upon closer examination I saw it was a security guard for the parking lot. and noticed him unmoving.

Looks like they got to him,” one of the bodyguards commented.

We went past the security guard running through the parked cars. At the end of the parking section we reached a set of doors in the wall. A staircase sign was on the doors.

It’s probably the staff emergency staircase, one of my bodyguards told me. When they tried the doors they were locked.

The bodyguards then took turns bashing the doors. After a few moments they finally got it to open.

Quickly inside ma’am.they told me.

Go up the stairs and if we try the doors inside we should be able to get help from the employees inside the building.”

Okay,I said in understanding.

I then removed my heels end put them by the railing of the stairs. I used it to break the heel part of my shoes so I could run faster.

Going up the first flight of stairs I tried the door that was there and it didn’t open. Of course, I thought to myself. It was a staff emergency exit so it was locked. It needed special access cards to gain access to enter. Fuck.

I turned to the bodyguards just below.

Ma’am continue going up. There’s some more men coming. We’ll hold them off,Leo one of the bodyguards told me. keep going until you get help.

Okay,I agreed.

I led Tony and I further up the stairs trying other doors but only finding them locked. If the doors had windows maybe we could signal to the employees inside of they were near by.

After a some moments I then heard footsteps fast approaching on the stairs below us. My eyes narrowed as I listened. It was only one set if footsteps. Why?

If it was one of my bodyguards they would have said something, like call out to me.

Tony continue to go up a dont look down andjust keep going checking on every door as you do!”

But mum I don’t want-he started.

-Tony forget that and go! I’ll be fine,I yelled at him and tried to reassure him. What’s important is that you get help.”

Though he was doubting he did as I instructed him and continued going up the stairs. Once I was sure Tony kept going I turned to face the approaching person.

The person appeared and I realized that my call had been right. It wasn’t one of my bodyguards. It was another one of the masked people dressed in all black. His face completely covered with a black mask and large goggles.

Where are my bodyguards? What have you done to them!?I asked wondering how he had gone through them so quickly.

Hello Jasmine,” the person greeted in a muffled voice. My men and took care of your bodyguards quite easily. It was Difficult to distinguish anything particular about it. At best I could tell it was a man.

Are you the person who’s helping Diana?I asked him.

You just don’t stop do you? You just had to keep researching and investigating didn’t you?he asked.

I won’t let you get your way,I said as I moved forward to punch him.

He moved aside and then made to grab me. lodged and hit him with an uppercut. He groaned and staggered backwards. I positioned my arms and legs in a boxing stance. My facial expression became serious as I looked as him.

You can fightthis is going to be troublesome,he commented.

I heared Tony’s footsteps continue to make their way up the stairs. I would buy him as much time as he needed.
