We reached Kieth’s office which was at the top of the building. It had been years since I had gone to Keith’s office I mean counting the 6 years of my past life that is. Upon entering the large office I found Keith standing by one of many large windows of the office looking outside. Upon entering he looked my way.Â
The guards lead me to the seating area of his office. They then went to stand byÂ
“Jasmine,” he said my name as he came towards me.Â
“Keith what the actual fuck? Are you kidnapping people now?” I complained.Â
A confused expressionÂ
“Is this a game to you Jasmine? Do you violently attack people and think you won’t face any consequences for your actions?” He asked me.Â
Ah, here we go, I thought to myself.Â
“I was trying to be civil with you and I have you come to me yourself but you were making things unnecessarily difficult. You left me no choice,” he continued.Â
He then motioned his hand for me to sit down on one of the couches of the seating area but I didn’t want to though and remained standing.Â
“What were you thinking Jasmine?” He asked me. “She can barely open her eye, were you trying to make her blind?Â
I internally rolled my eyes.Â
“Where is my son?” I asked him keeping my voice steady.Â
“What you’re not going to denounce what I’m saying?,” he asked me in disbelief.Â
I only stared at him.Â
“Have you nothing to say?”Â
“What do you want me to say Keith? you’ve already formed your opinion on theÂ
situation, haven’t you?” He asked me.Â
“I’m just curious to know how you’re going to try to explain this one. You expect me to believe that Diana punched herself?Â

If only you knew I thought to myself.Â
“Exactly so what’s the point of you asking me for my side when it won’t matter in the end?” I pointed out to him.Â
“The bodyguards I sent confirmed they saw you punch her, Jasmine,” he went on.Â
I bet they did, I thought to myself. She bribed them to lie on her behalf Keith.Â
“You should atleast apologise,” he went on.Â
“I told you last time that I’ll apologise if I’ve done something wrong,” I reminded him.Â
If I could, I would walk out of this office right now but his bodyguards were blockingÂ
the entrance and he hadn’t told me where Tony was.Â
He then clicked his tongue. “Jasmine, you’re impossible you know that? You’re lucky Diana isn’t going to press charges. Mind you charges that you definitely wouldn’t be able to afford to pay.” He warned. “She came to your home try to help you.”Â
I internally sighed as I remembered the night Diana had come to my home and literally forced her way in to threaten and torture me. Some help she tried to give me.Â
“Alright Keith, I’m sorry, I’m sorry I hurt Diana. Please tell her I’m sorry. Is that good enough for you?” I asked. I had apologised in such a monotone, unfeeling voice. ItÂ
didn’t sound at all like I was sorry. I wasn’t.Â
Keith’s eyes narrowed as they glared at me. “You’re such a heartless and cold woman Jasmine. Do you even have emotions?” he started. “You know, I’ve been thinking about it and I don’t think I’ve never even seen you cry before. You were always quiet, docile never really and never showed you’re true self. I used to think that was a respectable quality of yours but considering how you’ve been behaving lately it should have been a sign to me that you were a cold person…”Â
I glared at him as he spoke, wondering what the hell was going on. His insults were catching me off guard. I felt my blood slowly begin to boil.Â
I could never afford to cry, I thought to myself. Back when I lived with my family I had received strict bridal training all my life. Part of that training was to be docile, polite, and overall keeping my emotions in check. I hadn’t even been allowed to properly mourn my own mothers death.Â
I’ve only cried a handful of times in my life but never in front of Keith. One of the times being when I went back in time and saw Tony again. I’m sorry I’m not Diana who fakeÂ

cries on command, Keith.Â
He then got closer to me, standing right in front of me. “Are you you even a woman? For the 9 years we’ve been married not once did you ever have the courage to seduce me even though I could tell you wanted me. You probably could have had you been less robotic and stiff. But you don’t have the warmth of a woman, unfortunately,” He continued he then lifted his hand, bringing it up to my face. “Now you get upset when Diana appears because she’s everything you’re not, then start bullying her. It’s your fault you didn’t take the chance when you had it.”Â
As he finished that sentence just before his hand was about to touch my chin, I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face. It’s only after his head lolled to the side that I realised what I had done. I probably shouldn’t have done that, Keith was aÂ
chairman and his men were watching me. 3Â
I couldn’t help it though, I slapped him instinctively, for him to say such hurtful words so thoughtlessly. I get he was mad at me but he was doing a little too much.Â
I was content with our marriage being a friendship/ companionship. Keith, you told me you were in love with someone else which I respected. I was just glad you weren’t physically abusive like my father was to my mother. I even thought you were a kind man since I could openly talk to you. I never tried to overstep and I was content with the way things were. So for you to insinuate I was in love with you but couldn’t admit it and that’s why I was jealous of Diana and bullied her because of it… I just couldn’t believe it. It was just insane.Â
