Chloe patiently explained, “I know you guys are strong, but your power levels aren’t high enough. If things get dangerous. you might get overwhelmed.” 

Emily nodded. “Yeah, I think you should just stick to hunting mutant plants around the base. 

Chiara held her head high, brimming with confidence. 

“What if I can prove my worth?” Chiara asked. 

Chloe smiled lightly. “Then show us what you’ve got.” 

Still, the rest of the group wasn’t convinced. With her power only at Level 2, even if she had awakened some special ability, it wouldn’t matter much. 

In battle, raw strength was everything. Anything else was meaningless. 

But because Chiara was Chloe’s little sister, no one made fun of her. Instead, everyone watched her intently, giving her their full attention. 

The next moment, everyone, even Chloe, was stunned. 

Chiara waved her small hand, and a soft glow appeared, scattering glimmering red specks all around. 

At first, nobody thought much of it. They just found the red specks beautiful and almost enchanting. 

Emily suddenly laughed and affectionately tapped Chiara on the nose. 

“Chiara, we’re going out there to fight for our lives, not to compete in a beauty pageant…” Emily teased. 

But before she could finish, Emily froze mid–sentence, completely stunned, her eyes filled with disbelief. 

At the same time, everyone stared at Chiara like they’d just witnessed something impossible. 

Clayton shouted from below, “Holy crap! I feel like I’m overflowing with power! It’s like I just leveled up!” 

“No way, did I just level up, too?” someone else blurted out in disbelief. 

Chloe felt a sudden surge run through her body. She’d just hit Level 6, but now it was like she’d been catapulted straight to the peak of that level. 

All her power had taken a huge leap forward. She felt so powerful, it was as if she could tear a hole right through the sky. 

Chiara held her head high. “Check out my new power! Impressed yet? Pretty cool, huh?” 

Everyone went quiet, their eyes glued to Chiara. Then, with pleading looks, they turned to Chloe, silently begging her. 

Chiara said, “Chloe, take me with you, okay? Renee can weaken the enemy’s powers, and I can boost our team’s powers. With her draining them and me powering us up, we’ve totally got this fight in the bag!” 

It took Chloe a long moment to snap out of her shock. Her heart was pounding with excitement, and she couldn’t help but 

smile. 

She thought, ‘Oh my god, what am I seeing? 

‘A rare light power!”

Chapter 233 

It was even rarer than space or lightning powers, almost just a legend. 

Back in her previous life, there was a rumor about a light–powered human abroad. His team dominated every fight, and with his support, his teammates were unbeatable. 

Chiara, her little sister, was actually an extraordinary light–powered human. 

But that only made Chloe even less willing to let her risk herself out there. 

“Chloe, please let me go with you, I’m begging 

Chiara pleaded. 

Chiara was desperate to prove she could make a difference. 

Before Chloe could say anything, Filip walked over. He was always the steady one. 

Instead of acting cute and clinging to Chloe like Chiara, he just pointed up at the sky. 

Everyone followed his finger, and once again, they were left completely stunned. 

Moments ago, the sky was sunny and Cess, but 1 

out of nowhere, dark clouds rolled in and the wind howled 

Purple lightning flickered on and off in the clouds, filling the air with a terrifying, oppressive energy. 

“Go,” Filip said. 

As Filip pointed, lightning slashed down from the sky with a destructive force that could tear the world apart. 

The Phantom Zombie was now at Level 6, and she moved so fast that people couldn’t even see her shadow, but the lightning locked onto her dead–on and blasted her. 

She was frozen right where she stood, her face was charred black, and her hair stuck straight up. 

A stream of black smoke poured from the Phantom Zombie’s mouth. 

The Phantom Zombie toppled backward, landing flat on the ground, completely motionless. 

Everyone shivered, gasping in shock. 

They thought, ‘The Phantom Zombie is at Level 6. Level 6, for god’s sake! 

‘And this kid just knocked her out like she was nothing? 

‘Holy crap! The older sister is the leader, the War God of the base. 

“The younger sister is the rarest light–powered human, and the younger brother is even more terrifying. He’s just a third- level powered human, but he instantly knocked out a Level 6 Phantom Zombie like it was nothing. 

‘What kind of monster family is this? 

‘Are we normal people even supposed to stand a chance?’ 

Frank gulped, stuttering as he spoke. “Wait… Didn’t you just hit Level 3?” 

Filip nodded. “I can fight above my level.” 

The room was filled with nervous gulping, and everyone felt like their whole worldview had just shattered. 

They thought, ‘Fight above your level? It’s more than that. It’s like an ant going up against an elephant, and the elephant actually got taken down.

‘I can’t take this. My heart’s about to explode. 

Then, the Phantom Zombie slowly pushed herself up from the ground. At first, she moved painfully slow, and only after a few minutes did she finally regain her senses. 

She glanced around in a daze, clearly having no idea what had just happened. 

Filip cleared his throat. “My level still isn’t high enough, so I can’t really do any real damage to a sixth–level powered human 

Frank’s eyes went wide, his lips quivering. 

“And you call that not real damage?” Frank stammered, barely able to get the words out. 

The Phantom Zombie was knocked out for at least three minutes. In a real battle, even three seconds of blackout could mean death. 

Filip said, “If a water–powered human could cast a water net from above, covering all the mutant creatures, and I hit them with lightning at the same time, every mutant caught in the net would get struck. 

“The low–level ones would be electrocuted instantly, and even the high–level ones, like the Phantom Zombie, would lose consciousness just like that.” 

Then Filip looked at Chloe with hopeful, nervous eyes and said quietly, “Chloe, I want to go, too.” 

Chloe smacked her thigh, unable to contain her excitement. 

“You’re definitely coming with us, no matter what!” Chloe exclaimed. ‘Holy crap, this kid’s totally an ace!” she thought, absolutely stunned. 

Filip broke into a huge grin. He wasn’t just deadweight anymore. He could finally help his sister. 

‘I’m so happy!‘ Filip thought, his heart soaring. 

After that, Chloe was stunned to find that everyone living on the east side of the base was either leveling up super fast or suddenly getting new powers. 

She thought, ‘Wait, the east side, right up against the wall? 

“Those are the houses built right next to the wall! 

‘The system has mentioned before that there’s an energy source underground, about 30 feet in from the wall. 

Thinking about this, Chloe squinted, deep in thought. 

‘No doubt about it. The way powered humans are changing in the base has to be linked to that energy source underground, Chloe thought, her mind spinning. 

Once she got back to her villa, Chloe quickly called up the system. 

“System, next time we expand, let’s go toward the Botanic Gardens,” Chloe suggested. 

“Host, that’s not possible. The spiritual space’s abilities depend on your strength. There’s a seriously strong mutant ivy in the Botanic Gardens, and the spiritual space can’t handle it,” the system replied. 

In other words, Chloe just wasn’t strong enough yet, which meant the spiritual space couldn’t expand that way.
