“Oh, and one more thing. The sun gets really hot during the day and can burn your skin, so try to finish settle your points before the sun comes up.”

Chloe stood atop a tall building, binoculars in hand, carefully watching the distance. She was monitoring the Botanic Gardens far away. 

There was still no movement over there, and even with the binoculars, her view was limited. 

Chloe asked, “Phantom Zombie, can you see the center of the Botanic Gardens?” 

Phantom Zombie nodded, her spirit power sweeping out like a radar, scanning the area with precision. 

In less than three seconds, Phantom Zombie grabbed her head and writhed on the ground in agony.

She said, “Chloe, I saw this giant, thick ivy in the center of the Botanic Gardens. It’s spread out and covers almost the whole middle part.

As she said this, a hint of fear showed on her face. She never had that look in her eyes, not even back on the island in Lakeside. 

Chloe was immediately on high alert. 

Phantom Zombie was already at the seventh level. She had no real rivals left in the world, and yet even she could still be attacked. 

Just what is that white fox, anyway?‘ Chloe wondered. ‘Either it’s a mutant beast with exceptionally strong spirit power, or it has some power that specifically counters spirit power. 

‘Hold on!‘ Chloe thought, her heart suddenly pounding. A white fox? 

Suddenly, Chloe was struck by a brilliant idea. She lunged forward and grabbed Phantom Zombie, her fingers digging in so hard that her knuckles turned white. 

Jagger immediately protested, smacking Chloe’s hand away, “Hey, what are you grabbing my wife for? Just because you’re the base chief doesn’t mean you get to push her around. If you keep it up, I’ll have to teach you a lesson.” 

Before he could finish, Phantom Zombie socked him right in the left eye, turning it into a bruise. 

He looked at Phantom Zombie, all hurt and pitiful. “Honey, how can you do that to me?” 

Phantom Zombie blinked, a faint hint of human emotion flickering in her eyes. She stared at her own fist, her expression 

conflicted. “You… can’t be rude to Chloe. Or else… You die.” 

“Fine, just let me die of anger,” Jagger whined. This big, burly guy, practically a giant, actually stormed off, clutching his face and pouting like a kid.
