Chapter 69 

A chubby hand stroked his chin, watching Chloe with playful amusement. 

Gary said, “So you’re a feisty little thing, huh? Alright, here’s the deal. If you come out of that shower looking hotter than her. I’ll chop her up and feed her to the dogs.” 

His eyes narrowed, and even though he kept his tone soft and his smile wide, the words he spoke sent a chill down everyone’s spine. 

Rosalie’s face went pale with fear. She’d always thought she was beautiful, but she had to admit Chloe was so gorgeous it made her hard to breathe. 

“Mr. Quinn, you wouldn’t really do that, would you? I just served you, after all,” Rosalie said, her voice sweet and syrupy, trying to sound as seductive as possible. 

But no matter how much she tried to act seductive, she was still just a spoiled rich girl, not one of those women who made a living out of pleasing men. 

Now that her shyness was gone, Gary realized she just wasn’t all that special after all. 

His smile faded a little. 

He grabbed Rosalie’s chin, his smile cold and never reaching his eyes. Gary said, “You little minx. Don’t worry; if she’s not prettier than you, I’ll let you handle her however you want.” 

As he spoke, his greasy hand slid over and gave her chest a few squeezes. 

Rosalie’s smile stiffened, but then her eyes lit up when she spotted Frank sitting off to the side. 

“Hey, powered guy, I know Chloe’s your girl. You’re cool with this, right?” she said, her voice sweet and teasing. 

Frank’s heart skipped a beat when he was suddenly called out, and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. 

‘What? That crazy woman is supposed to be my girl? No way, I wouldn’t have the guts, he thought. 

He looked up and caught Gary’s gaze, forcing a wry smile. 

“She’s not my woman,” Frank said quickly. 

‘She’s my boss, a cold–blooded killer who doesn’t even need to get her hands dirty,’ he thought, but he didn’t dare say it out loud. 

Just saying that was enough to make Gary assume Chloe really was Frank’s girl. 

Gary was pretty satisfied with how Frank knew when to keep his head down. 

“That’s more like it. Stick with me, and there’ll be plenty of perks coming your way,” Gary said with a cocky grin. 

While everyone was busy talking, Chloe had already scoped out her surroundings. 

There were six snipers in the RV, all elite powered humans. First things first, she had to take them out. 

She slipped into the bathroom, took a quick hot shower, and slipped into a sexy dress. 

It showed off her killer body even more, every curve perfectly highlighted. 

When the guys in the RV saw her glide out, they almost dropped their sniper rifles. One of them even got a nosebleed.

Chapter 69 

Even Frank’s eyes went wide, but he quickly stared at his shoes, acting like he hadn’t seen a thing 

‘Nope, better not look. If that demon lady holds a grudge later, she might just gouge my eyes out, he thought. 

Rosalie bit down hard on her lip, her eyes practically dripping with poison. 

She’d always thought Chloe would rather die than give in, but who would’ve guessed that someone so high and mighty would actually stoop so low just to survive. 

Gary pushed Rosalie aside and got up, trying to pull Chloe into his arms. 

But Chloe spun away, leaving him grabbing at nothing. She leaned against a cabinet, giving him a coy, mischievous grin. 

“Mr. Quinn, there are so many people here,” she said, glancing over at the six powered humans with their guns at the ready. 

Gary shot a fierce glare at the guys in the RV. He said, “What are you all standing around for? Get the hell out of here. Don’t ruin my mood.” 

The tall guy in blue hesitated. “But your dad told us to stick with you until we reach Bluehaven.” 

Chloe covered her mouth and let out a soft laugh. She said, “Oh, come on, do you really think a little girl like me could eat Mr. Quinn alive?” 

Gary’s face darkened. 

These six guys were basically slapping him in the face, making it look like he couldn’t even keep a woman in line. 

“Are you saying a powered human like me can’t even handle a normal woman?” Gary snapped, puffing up with pride. 

The six men flinched and shook their heads fast. They said, “That’s not what we meant. We’re just being careful; what if she’s actually an assassin?” 

Before he could finish, Gary kicked him hard and said, “Have you ever seen a damn assassin this hot?” 

Rosalie got swept out with the others in no time. 

As Frank was leaving, he glanced back and saw Chloe give him a firm nod, signaling it was okay. Only then did he shut the door tight. 

He stood straight at the doorway, standing between the six powered humans’split on either side of him. 

Rosalie crossed her arms, taking her sweet time to leave. She shot Frank a mocking look. 

“Wow, you really enjoy being a cuckold, huh? Your girl’s inside with another guy, and you’re out here playing doorman for them,” she sneered. 

Frank just let out a cold laugh and didn’t bother to respond. 

Rosalie wanted to say more, but seeing he wasn’t giving her the time of day, she stomped her foot in frustration and stormed off. 

Once everyone was gone, Gary rubbed his palms together eagerly and sidled up to Chloe, his beady eyes full of lust. 

“Don’t worry, pretty little thing. This RV’s got top–notch soundproofing. You can let loose as loud as you want, no one’s gonna hear a thing,” he said with a sleazy grin. 

Chloe suddenly smiled, her smile was like a ray of winter sun, making Gary’s heart race with longing. 

“Everyone’s gone? That’s perfect,” she said, her tone playful and almost too innocent.

Chapter 69 

As Gary moved in, his grin froze in terror. He tried to scream for help, but not a single sound escaped his lips. 

His head hit the floor, still wearing that pervy smile; he didn’t even get a chance to look scared. 

Chloe kicked the corpse at her feet with brutal force, then spat on it in disgust. 

She couldn’t help but grin as she checked out the RV’s interior, taking in every detail with obvious delight.

From the fancy chandelier overhead to the plush carpet under her feet, everything was top–tier luxury. The place was fully equipped, bathroom, kitchen, you name it. 

Best of all, it was massive; easily enough space to sleep eight people. 

“Hell, I traded my looks for a luxury RV. Totally worth it,” Chloe said with a satisfied smirk. 

She pulled a big black trash bag out of her spiritual space, crammed Gary’s corpse inside, and stashed it away. 

Then she started scrubbing down the place. 

Before long, all the blood was gone, leaving nothing but a faint, metallic scent in the air. 

She slipped back into her old, dirty clothes, thinking about how to deal with the six powered humans waiting outside. 

Just then, the doorbell went off, urgent and insistent. 

She cracked the door open just enough to peek out, locking eyes with Frank. 

Without warning, they split up; Chloe headed east, Frank went west; and in a flash, each dropped three powered humans. 

The six guys were still wondering how the door had opened so fast when, before they knew it, their heads were rolling. 

Next up, the second guy, just as the wind whipped past, his head went flying. 

The third guy barely had time to raise his gun when a sudden sandstorm exploded around him, blinding him instantly. 

In the blink of an eye, Chloe was right beside him. Her blade flashed, and his head hit the ground before he even knew what happened. 

Chloe struck with ruthless efficiency; three second–level powered humans fell in just two seconds, her moves so smooth it was over before anyone could blink. 

Suddenly, a gunshot cracked behind her. Frank was going toe–to–toe with the third powered human, locked in a fierce brawl. 

Chloe had never seen Frank go all out like this before. 

Right now, his skin was bronzed, and his face shimmered with a strange glow; the bullets fired at him just bounced right off. 

“How is this even possible?” the powered human stammered, his voice shaking with disbelief.
